Why so

Because the last update on github was nearly 2 years ago, and the latest supported graphics card they listed there is the GTX 745/GTX 750TI.

Personal build >  New-ish AMD main gaming setup

PLEASE QUOTE OR @ ME FOR A RESPONSE xD

SLI needs x8 minimum, not x16

Which is where it should be fine on some motherboards. My P5 Deluxe has 2x PCIe 16 slots that run at x8 with 2 cards installed, but since its not the Nvidia chipset it isn't SLI certified.

Hmmm. I'd stray away from that. I personally went and purchased 2 RX480s to have a dual GPU setup on the Z170P

Good choice, I did the mistake, I should also have gone for two rx480s instead of a single gtx 1070, for about the same price, and would have got more performance, somewhere equal to more experience gtx 1080

Just don't do what I did and install the  2 cards and then 1 month later realize you never enabled crossfire.
