Buying a drone

Meme lord

If I decide to just buy a drone, what would you recommend? I want a fast drone that can manoeuvre well. My price range is $200

If you don't have any experience flying any kind of multirotor or RC helicopter, I'd get an RTF Blade Inductrix.

That's only for AU though, and it's just a rebranded Chinese drone.

When the hoverboard fad first came out, Kaiser Baas hired some Chinese company to build them at the lowest cost. It was on Vice or smth

idk

Still a good drone for beginners, goes pretty quick.

This is probably the cheapest quad I would consider close to well made, and if you get a set of fpv goggles you can do some fpv racing. http://www.gearbest.com/multi-rotor-parts/pp_401605.html?wid=8 I would also recommend a new transmitter and reciever like a taranis, but that can wait as it is quite expensive.

$300 isn't too bad

Also I would recommend a cheap quad like an h8 mini first to learn how to pilot before getting a nice quad.

That looks really nice, and for under $200! That looks like an awsome deal!!! Thank you

I would also recommend a new transmitter and reciever like a taranis, but that can wait as it is quite expensive, a new camera for it like a hs1190 would also be good.  Also a nice pair of fpv goggles are the Quanum Cyclops for 60$, Fat Sharks would be better but are about 200-300$.

Also make sure to get plenty of props (king kong are good for beginning), batteries, and a nicer battery charger and antennas like Aomway Clover Leafs as the ones that come with it isn't very good.

What battery would work with this drone?  http://www.gearbest.com/multi-rotor-parts/pp_401605.html?wid=8

These are nice batteries, I use them and they work great. They are little heavier, but they are more durable and last more cycles. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/graphene-1300mah-4s-65c-w-xt60.html

Yeah step one, don't use sheet metal for your frame. It transfers too many vibrations. Step two, use an actual flight controller. The Naze 32 rev6 is pretty damn good for a beginner, but as you progress a nicer flight controller is a good thing. Lastly, those motors will not be powerful enough to lift just about anything made from sheet metal. Check out my guide on building drones, should answer all your questions.

Metal in general is too heavy, unless you're talking massive aircraft that are designed to run for hours at a time (and even then, anyone worth their salt will be using some kind of composite frame.)

the fun is to getting it to work the learning process. but i agree.

That's not any fun if all you want to do is fly/programming confuses you. OP seems like they just want to fly.

What is floatplane?

The LTT only pre released video platform (basically, the LTT only version of Vessel)

@OP, it's not too difficult to build something small, fast, and fun for around the $200 mark, but honestly right now, your money would be best spent on getting some small, premade drone and learning to fly. (or at least getting a halfway decent simulator hooked up to a real transmitter so you can get some sort of feel for the way that things work before you go embarking on a project like this.

Besides, it seems like you're more interested in the flying side of things anyway, so that kind of makes sense if that's how you go about doing it.
