I need to win, I currently have 2 mechanical drives and one of them is almost dead

I am running a 250gb hdd and a 1tb hdd. I would like my system to run faster so booting off an hdd is probably not the best. I would like to move my most played game or 2 to this just so I can have faster read and write times.

I think that everybody should have SSD, because you can give new life to your slow computer, or just make your PC faster. SSDs are not only for super-mega-ultra gaming/editing machines. They are for everybody so he can save time and time is money  We all know how annoying is to wait few hours just to move some folder from one hard drive partition to another. I want SSD in my system so I can "revive" my computer a little bit and so I can really feel the difference between SSD and HDD irl, not just on paper and video clips

Little sister found my PC back in June 2015 so I've been using laptop since then.
However in the next two months i'll be building a brand new machine from scratch (including monitors and peripherals), and of course a SSD is non-negotiable.

Also everything is expensive in South Africa..

I never had an SSD and I wanted to try how good it is to have an SSD specially for games I only heard about them in your reviews and explanation of what is an SSD but never actually had one.

I always wanted an SSD, still sticking around with an 5400 rpm HDD till my birthday (next month). I plan on building a new system then, so it would be the best time to recive a cool SSD like this. Huge thanks  for dong these giveaways guys, appreciate that even if I don't win!

I have a 120 SSD but it is close to full, and storing programs and such on a hard drive is something that is not accseptable. So this would help me out a lot.

Well I have been looking for a cheap ssd for my system for a boot drive and I would but the division on it and need for speed witch i have pre ordered and i would love the extra fps and also PICK Well i bought a 120SSD from a not so known brand and it was good until it broke, it lasted about one month then it broke, after that i had to re-use my HDD and it was slow as F, so winning this SSD would make my life bright again.

The reason why I would like to have a new SSD is due to the fact that I'm building my PC this summer. I've got quite a few of the components already, but storage is something I still haven't delved into yet. I got an MSATA SSD from Samsung in my MSI GE-70 laptop, which reduced the boot time from 1:30 minutes, to 8 seconds. However, I can't recycle it as no current motherboard supports MSATA. 
 

When it comes to why people should invest in an SSD, is simply due to massive system performance increases. As I mentioned, the boot time got dramaticly better when I moved my OS install from the 7200 RPM drive to the SSD. Also, the system overall will perform better. (Not in terms of FPS as the SSD does not effect performance graphically wise) In for example programs such as photoshop, the start up time is reduced quite a bit, and the time you have to wait before owning some noobs in Battlefield get's drastically reduced as well.

 

Also, a bonus for laptop users, the power usage actually get's reduced slightly. As I noticed I gained about 30 minutes more battery life.

Just in my department, the teachers and IT department are all like "Nah nah, those i7s and quadros aren't powerfull enough for xyz program" (autodesk like) when I have all of them installed at my home on a i5 and geforce setup, running of my ssds without problem.

Any people I've installed ssds for their main OS have never seen a fastest computer. My gf have a i3/4gb ram laptop, I've installed a 120gb ssd inside, and her battery life has boosted, it's as fast as my own computer for her student-esque task.

SSD "old-age" isn't as noticeable as a HDD.

For my perspective, the only downside of SSDs is the price, as the finite life of an ssd, for an average normal user, will be the end of the computer itself for different reason.
