Inb4 it says "FAILED TO BOOT" .. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

You have to do it through windows update to upgrade your key though.....

writing from the laptop nope you don't need to if you're using the manual download /update, it asked me to update to Windows 10 pro

 

atm it's at 6% upgrading windows

FYI - If you own Minecraft on PC, go on on Mojang's website and you can get a free copy of Minecraft Windows 10 edition. :D (feels like console shit with tons of pig pop in) UPDATE - It's the pocket edition

Huh. Here's a tip. If you use the manual install, click upgrade, then close it your windows update will then say you're ready to upgrade. :P

I'm downloading to upgrade through the tool to see if it works yea. Seems ok so far.. 40% downloaded.

Well I just followed somebody instructions a few pages back about the running something in CMD. I'm on 10 now!
I should also report, I just tested (for science) on my second computer a pirate copy of Win 7, and it upgraded to Windows 10 no problem. System properties shows it's activated? Interesting.

Ahh well time to sleep and when I get off from work all the info on getting an ISO will available and I'll freshly install legit windows onto both machines.

Tip: IF YOU RUN ANY 3RD PARTY ANTIVIRUS MAKE SURE YOU SHUT IT DOWN COMPLETELY BY TURN OFF PROTECTION BEFORE SETUP WINDOWS 10!
