I'm well past the age where they required it, but they did in the past. I just gave it to my dad, he's an it engineer (no worries of him messing up my pc) and he never used it anyway.

Who paid for the computer? If the answer is parents then the answer to your two questions is yes, and yes. If you purchased it with cash you earned, then it is up to you to determine who gets access and what level of access they get.

I have set up all of our computers and our network. My parents and sister know the admin passwords but usually default to me before installing anything, changing settings etc. I'd say that because they have paid for all of the equipment that they deserve admin rights but YMMV.

My mother and father have never asked for admin access rights to my computer, they have used it as a standard user when the family one broke down, my dad has access to our network and admin access to the family computer as he knows what he is doing to a reasonable extent, my mum on the other hand once tried to order take out on the television remote. So no i wont even trust her with the WLAN key.

My parents doesn't demand me. They just don't care. I'm old enough to decide on things. In fact, they have less knowledge about tech and ask me about stuffs like VPN and the like. Just thankful they don't have any idea on this matter.
