Is there a PS3 or Xbox 360 emulator?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if there is a working PS3 or Xbox 360 emulator available for the PC. There are some games I'd like to play again, such as Red Dead Redemption.

Nothing illegal about emulator bruh.

 

No there are tests going on but there is no average consumer hardware that would have enough power to run it anyway.

I didn't know emulators were against the coc...I see a bunch when I search them on Google but I have no idea which ones are worth downloading, and which ones aren't just full of viruses and surveys

Yes. There is a PS3 emulator in the works, but it is not worth it.

They said they were able to run menus in games and Terraria a bit. The rest was too intensive.

 

So really, no. Not worth it yet.

Just get a cheap 360.

Nothing inherently illegal about emulators, so not against CoC.

 

I didn't know emulators were against the coc...I see a bunch when I search them on Google but I have no idea which ones are worth downloading, and which ones aren't just full of viruses and surveys

Heard 99% were viruses and surveys :) 

As I said above, I heard some time ago they were busy with a PS3 emulator, but we are pretty loooong away from it.

PC's just don't have the horse power to emulate 360/PS3 games yet. And the systems were set up pretty weird

Emulators are not illegal if the console is stopped in production, PS2 or Dreamcast for example.

I'd expect xbone and ps4 simulators before those come out. The hardware of the next-gen consoles is just X86 with a modified DX11 API.

The xbox360 and ps3 were still supercomputers.

 

I mean, there are still some homebrew gamecube games that are too heavy for Dolphin. (metroid prime).

I'm pretty sure emulators themselves are fine. If he were to ask where to find pirated ROMs, that would be another story.

The one website I always recommend when looking for emulators is: http://www.emulator-zone.com/

 

Only emulators are posted there, no ROM's, and the emulators that are linked there are legit. They also have a pretty good forum community, albeit small, but still good.

 

When legit Xbox 360/PS3 emulators are available they will be added to the website, right now you can see that RPCS3 is the only PS3 emulator available and there are no Xbox 360 emulators. Honestly if any emulator you find isn't on this site OR on Github(for source code) then I wouldn't go near it. There are some Xbox/360 emulators being made, but they aren't even close to being in an alpha state.

With any luck, Vulkan API will expedite XBone and PS4 simulators because APIs are not simple to reverse engineer.

nope best to just get a cheap ps3 or xbox, I still keep mine for the old exclusives
