How many WPM can you type? My highest is 75 WPM :(

Mine varies.

If I'm just typing from my head, then I'm about 75-80 WPM. If I'm copying something down from the screen, I'm about 45-50 WPM.

90-100 WPM on average.

Nothing special for someone who works on the computer most of the time.

Those with like near 200 WPM is insane...

I recently started touch typing(March) and currently am at about 60-65 at worst and 75-80 on best while typing something on the screen. I think I can hit 100 by the end of the year.

96 WPM. Last time I tested myself was in 2013.

Just did a test of my typing speeds on typing racer and got 123. Looks like I've improved over 3 years ;P

Currently, about 80 WPM with 94% accuracy if re-typing something I'm reading. If what I'm typing is already in my head, then it takes significantly less time.

I don't really speed-type anymore, just more a lazy key by key tick. Used to have competitions in elementary school between students because it was practically the only not completely boring thing to do on the computer. Highest back then was about 240 WPM. You can only imagine how loud that is in a library on a crappy mechanical keyboard.

Just wondering how fast u guys can type, i guess mine is pretty average for anyone that spends a lot of time on computers.

When i was in 8th grade i typed 62, now i usually get from 80-85 (12th grade), my goal has always been 120 wpm, just typing that fast i'd be happy to die :D

Anyhow, post your scores and how you've improved over time.

Here's the page i used for the typing test.  i did the Aesop one btw

Hello,

I am creating this thread to see how fast everyone can type. Use this website: http://typing-speed-test.aoeu.eu/

Share the results from your first test! I have no connection with this website, so even if you could do 'better' or the website is at fault, it is an unbiased report.

Here's my result (it's an off day, I can probably get higher):

Screenshot (26).png

It's not super fast, but hey, it was the first time trying.
