also I'd recommend you find something else to watch besides Log Horizon S2.

You made the mistake of watching S1.

S1 is fine on its own. S2 is loathsome by comparison.

do you have any active AV programs with proactive/retroactive scanning in the background (i.e. avast, Nod32)? That can also cause some slowdowns especially if you set them at the highest sensitivity and have them scan the entire file each time... (that was one of the reasons why I had to ditch windows altogether on my Toshiba Satellite A60 since the load was too much for the poor P4 to handle...)

Back when I was Debugging i had the basic microsoft antivirus running,I am using bitdefender now.

Anybody here have issues with MPC taking 4 seconds or so,to launch quick but wait for the file to load up? 

 

It still persist even after switching to a SSD (I Tried storing the file on the SSD and a different drive,same issue) 

What setup do you have? For example do you have madVR? If you do then go into the settings -> rendering and uncheck "delay playback start until render queue is full". It can be caused by a bunch of different reasons so it's hard to say what is causing it without knowing all your settings.

 

 

 

Guys i realise there is some technical words using here and there for the program you use to watch anime. For me i've been watching all the anime from gogoanime.tv and it is not bad. but i will also like to know how you guys watch. I'm curious. 

 

And ya just finish log horizon decent anime and finding for the next one. Wanted to start shiki but realise i am just wayy to pussy to watch horror anime. Any other suggestion?

Just get the Kawaii Codec Pack as your video player. I recommend the test build since it uses XySubFilter (by far the best subtitle renderer).

For downloading I got µTorrent setup to automatically grab the episodes from the groups I want as soon as they are released. You do that with the RSS downloader settings.

yeh. I dropped s2 around 17ish. Got pretty boring imo.

I don't think it's necessary to care about S2 at all. What you call a cliffhanger I simply consider an open "life goes on" ending.

I liked the unnecessarily realistic depictions of combat for that era, but that was about it. I found the stuff with Maria herself rather tired and cliched, like an excuse to shovel in fanservice and another headstrong girl who will be your standard Joan of Arc analogue... but wanting to have their cake and eat it to, by preaching about the oppression of woman on one hand, while taking every excuse to be a glorified fanservice show on the other hand. It also didn't endear me to its lead character within 2 episodes, which is kind of a must for me to watch a show that's probably preachy, yet ultimately trite.

No, it's a full series, I just couldn't be bothered after 2 episodes. Or maybe it was 3 or 4 (I don't care about the series enough to check).

It's not like s2 answers that question either, so you might as well just leave it at that, and consider it an open ending. Kind of like I'm ok with ending Working! on the end of s3 without knowing about the pointless dangling plot thread they forced into it just to get me to watch a stupid OVA down the line.

If you've read/watched Nisekoi then I can recommend looking up "Takumi Na Muchi" as well. Very good artist and she usually does a lot of kissing and stuff before the "lemme show u how dis dick works".

Funny thing. I go out my way to avoid hentai (I'm not here debate religion/faith/morality so don't try unless you you have sensitive to say)

By the look of that art piece and manga updates list of her works that author does care how human relationships work beyond sex...pity she doesn't write some what ecchi existing couples manga featuring whole and real feeling relationships. I love that manga genre i wish their was more of the couple lives together in a real honest relationship with real issues.(I wouldn't be opposed to infertility, performance anxiety, premature ya know etc being discussed seriously and honestly)

Agreed, and that's why i choose to just forget S2 ever happened, and consider S1 the entire anime, just with an open ending. That way I still like LH overall to the point where I can recommend it to people, just with the caveats that you have to be ok with an open ending, and that you should only watch season 2 if you're curious to see how much a sequel can ruin a franchise.

LH2 is so mysteriously awful that I sometimes want to write my own fan-reboot of the franchise.

There is a manga, too. I haven't read it yet, but I've been told that it's worth it.

 

I might have to look into it. It may be another one of the few manga that I buy, I really liked the show.

i realise i have no knowledge about all of this lol. so you guys actually download the episode instead of streaming it? ohhh.... right i am in the kcp page i will try to read through what it is about and why should i use that instead of streaming.
