For me, honestly, it's a toss up between the HD8 DJ's and the Beyerdynamic DT880 Premiums. I love them both so much.

I personally wouldn't spend so much on just the headphones. I would buy Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250OHMs and a JDS Labs O2+ODAC.

But I'd even possibly get two cheaper for different moods.

 

And ofc a new and a nice mic suitable for voice-acting.

Not sure, probably some open headphones to compliment the DT770s I already own.

 

Not looked into it much yet, but I intend to buy some later in the year I think.

I can vouch for the DT 880s. With your budget you can get the 880s and a DAC or Soundcard ;)

I guarantee you the HD 600 or HE 400 are technically superior if not just plain sound better.

also why do you people care about a damn color scheme I care if it just sound better, that's what headphones are for not for a headpiece to show off how rich you are.

I hope you're kidding about that too. I never really tried beats, I have a friend that thinks every set of Wicked Audio headphones and he calls them beats. It annoys me, a lot. I also kinda dislike beats in general because they are really over rated. (basing that on what I've heard from others).
