Please, could anybody find me a G-Sync monitor that's 1080p and 120 (or more) Hz with IPS?

Slyceth

First of all, let me be perfectly clear, the Geforce 980 Ti card is NOT FreeSync compatible:

https://blurbusters.com/gsync/supported-graphics-cards/

image.png.fb32f7e3e1044c9cd145e3345160e395.png

I've watched Linus' latest monitor video and it's yet again only featuring a Freesync 1080p monitor.

I have the Geforce 980 Ti graphics card that does not support Freesync (It's a waste to replace such a great card when the next generation of cards is closer than the last) but I still want frame syncing experience as well as a better monitor than my current TN panel from 10 years ago.

I'm looking for a monitor with these options: 1080p 120+Hz IPS G-Sync Monitor. I'm looking for one that will tie me over until at least the next graphics card generation, I don't want to overspend on a 1440p monitor since most AAA games will not be able to reach 100 Fps at that resolution, and it'll make youtube videos look worse (I tried the PG279Q and that's how I found out about these issues).

I already checked the Nvidia list but it seems to be crowded with Freesync monitors, like the Alienware aw2521hf which will simply just not work for my GTX 980 Ti

I would really appreciate if you can find one, I want to watch youtube on it as well as play games so I don't need HDR.

Could you send a screenshot? Because when I apply the filters only one monitor shows up, the ViewSonic XG270 and that one is not sold in my country.

That's impossible, G-sync has been out forever, there have to be more 1080 IPS gaming displays before freesync times?

At least put some effort into helping me

No, it's not. GSync is considered a more premium offering, so it's only offered on very high refresh rate 1080p panels, or higher resolutions.

You can have an IPS 1440p monitor, or a 1080p TN monitor, you cannot have 1080p and IPS.

Put in some effort? Why, because I can't magically make something that doesn't exist appear out of my ass? 🙄 Get a fucking grip kid.

So IPS is a new technology? But the pg279q has been out forever, it's exactly what I'm looking for apart from the fact it's a 1440p display while I'm looking for 1080p.

How does this site not include the 27GL850-B, a 27" IPS 1440p 144hz a true G-Sync monitor?

It came out almost a year ago.

I asked, will see what their response is.

What if I widen my search a little bit, what if I go either VA instead of IPS, maybe 100Hz instead of 120+Hz, or if all of those are unachievable, 1440p?

3 listed on part picker. 240hz, 144hz, 144hz

2 listed on displayninja, 144hz 144hz (I think they are the same ones on PP)

Couldn't see anything at 100hz or 120hz.

Even the old ones are 144hz according to this site.

Well you have a few options, my suggestion would be, google each one and look for reputable benchmarks/reviews for each and see what the pros and cons are for each and then decide which one you want.

That is what I did, but the monitor I bought is a 27" IPS 1440p 144hz monitor, it is the LG 27GL850-B which is G-Sync too, runs about $500 I think though you might be able to find a deal on it.

No, it's freesync that is G-sync compatible.

So I doubt it would work with OP's current GPU.

Even LG's website says this:

  • NVIDIA® G-SYNC® Compatible
  • Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync™)

That is annoying when they put a sticker on the front like that.

Not that I really care, it wasn't why I bought it, which is why I was just going by the 'main' advertising and thw sticker on it.

I cannot find a single monitor. Are there no decent Hertz IPS monitors from when my graphics card was released before Nvidia let everyone with newer gpu's enjoy freesync?

You could upgrade your GPU?  The 980 was released like 5 yeas ago?

Might be time to take that step.

Asus TUF VG249Q is a great one, and is perfect for any NVIDIA card. It's 144hz, you can use Low Motion Blur and G-Sync at the SAME TIME, and it is IPS. Also comes with Shadow Boost, and I think it reaches 400 nit brightness.

That display is FreeSync. Since OP has a 9 series card they cannot leverage G-Sync compatibility.
