Those look like SATA power cables. Used to power SSDs and HDDs

why cut them off? you risk shorting out your PSU.

for less messy cables, since the HDD bay is just too tight for this many cables in one place, forcing closing the side panel works too.

- They used to power your SSD (unless it's an M.2 one), HDD (unless it's a super old one), optical drive (like DVD player). They only fit on one way

- Don't cut them off. If you don't know what you're doing, you run the risk of the wires touching each other and you're also removing common connectors from a PSU. If you don't use these, just stash them somewhere away in the case.

Have you checked the manual for the PSU?

They look different because you're holding one upside down in your photos. The connector is keyed so that it can only go in one and and so you don't insert it upside down.

What case do you have where you can't fit SATA power cables inside the case?

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Jesus, why do people always want to cut off their cables when they don't even know what they're doing. Like that one guy who cut off the "extra" 6 pin connector that delivers power to the GPU.

MAIN PC:

CPU: Intel® Core™ i9-9900K Processor  Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi  CPU Cooler: Scythe Fuma 2  GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra  RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB (4x8GB) 3000Mhz CL15

Case: CoolerMaster TD500 Mesh PSU: Thermaltake GF1 PE 750w Storage: 1TB Western Digital Blue 3D + 1TB Crucial P1 + 1TB ADATA XPG Gammix S11 Pro + 4TB Seagate Barracuda 5400RPM OS: Windows 10 Home

Headphones: Philips SHP9500s   Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Cherry MX Red  Displays: Gigabyte M27Q (27" 1440p 170hz IPS), Samsung UN32EH4003FXZA (32" 768p 60hz TV)

SECONDARY PC:

CPU: Intel® Core™ i3-9100F Processor  Motherboard: ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 4-CB  CPU Cooler: Arctic Alpine 12 CO  GPU: EVGA RTX 3060 XC RAM: ADATA XPG 16GB (2x8GB) 2400Mhz CL16

Case: CyberpowerPC Onyxia  PSU: ATNG ATA-B 800w 80 Plus Bronze  Storage: 500GB Samsung 850 EVO + 2TB Seagate FireCuda SSHD 5400RPM    OS: Windows 10 Home

Former parts that I've used: Acer XG270HU, Asus Dual OC 2080, Gigabyte Aorus Master 3080, Gigabyte Gaming OC 3080, EVGA XC3 Ultra 3080, EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3080 Ti

If you're so concerned with how nice your PC looks, why do you have a cheap PSU with fixed cables with mustard and ketchup wires?

You should have bought a modular PSU where you can leave the extra SATA power cables unplugged.
