New Half-Life VR Game Announced by Valve.

Yeah I gotta agree that idk who would ever pick this game up if they had to make a decision over some of the other titles coming out soon.  From what I've seen of this game, now it just seems like a lazy decision was made to make this an HL2 prequel, predicated on the fact that they don't really have to do anything new in terms of art design or story.  A lot of people are going to be really angry that this wasn't the game they've waiting 10 years for.  I for one don't really feel any sense of entitlement when it comes to sequels, but if they were ready to do something new with the franchise, why the hell did they make a prequel before finishing the cliffhanger story?

Marc Lidlaw, the writer of Half Life, left Valve.  Along with Chet Faliszek, the writer of HL2 episode 1 and 2.  And, Eric Wodlaw left too.

Because people with VR are desperate for games. Theoretically this is Valves big push into making a VR game that isn't just another tech demo, or something else with the same shitty controls.

Nope.  Still does not change my mind.

 

I already played the former games.  About the only sole reason I would  play a new Half Life is if the story is continue from HL2 episode 2.  And as stated, other games currently have a higher position on my list for what I want to play around that time frame.
