I had a pair of G35's which had this virutal surround as well, and they did NOT sound good.

I suspect the other "7.1 gaming" headphones or headsets do not sound any good as well, you'd be better off looking at a good pair of headphones and getting a modmic.

    hey everyone.

just watched the video and i saw some concerning stuff about your testing.
and yes i do realise that you are not pros and this is not a rant about that, i would just like to point out things that were dangerous for your team.

as a medical graduate i had a lot to do with agars and swabs and taking and reviewing samples, so i can tell you that opening a grown petrie dish
is VERY DANGEROUS AND SHOULD NEVER BE DONE. AFTER U GROW YOUR CULTURE YOU SHOULD BURN IT. specially because some pathogen bacteria that grow in there .. given the right surcumstances can grow in numbers so critical that if before the test there were not dangerous, if you increase the number of them can be very very bad for your health.

many of the so called california bacterias (fecal bacteria) that you grew in the petrie dish, can cause many serious issues if you inhale the spores, which fly away into the room after you open the dish.

so for your safety i would recommend not to open them.

love your reviews and i will continue to watch your wan show and other videos.. so please keep them coming.

IDK if this would be the right place, but they are getting the monitor soon on massdrop for 800$!!!
    Will 804  Hey Everyone,
After dozens of calls, emails, pitches, and presentations (drum roll please)... Massdrop has been approved as a direct account with LG!
It's taken some time, but we finally have preliminary pricing for your monitor. If enough people join the buy, we might be able to list it for $800 shipped.
Here's the kicker (and the reason it's taken me six days to post this update), we cant list the 34UM95, we're going to list the 34UM94 instead. Don't know that monitor? Neither does anyone else because it comes from the LG Pro line. Why would we list the pro version? It's the exact same monitor but it comes with an extra two years of manufacturer's warranty. We've also been told the 34UM94 is black instead of silver but we'll confirm when the sample arrives.
What do you think of a 34UM95 with a black case and 3 years of warranty coverage from LG for ~$800 shipped? (all shipped prices are assuming you're in the US, international shipping will cost a small fortune by virtue of the weight)
Let me know and I'll get back to LG for the next steps in getting this listed : )

Seems like a reasonable price for it! Cant wait!

EDIT: Coming later this months posibly

Will 804  replying to NighttimeMold Most people aren't pro enough to know about the pro line.
Really though, like kevinrivers said, it's also called the commercial line. Normally you don't have the option to buy these displays as a consumer.
Aside from the extended warranty and the possibly all-black case (still to be determined), they also have a shorter wait time attached to them. A Massdrop order for the standard 34UM95 wouldn't ship until mid to late August (according to LG) but the 34UM94s should be good to go by late this month.

    I don't know.
Chances are that it is the latest revision, but if we're wrong you may brick your motherboard. Meaning that you'll have to send an RMA request and ship it to one of their repair facilities to replace the dead bios chip.
I would simply try to find another way.

However, i'd keep digging around the bios for a model number or a bios version and dates of any kind.
Find out the BIOS version, if it's a version that can only be applied on one revision and it has an unique number, that'll narrow it down to the right motherboard.
