290x bringing up debug code b2

hello 

 

I am having trouble with a 290x dcu2 and a maximum vi gene.

When I start the system it goes thru posting until it stops at debug code b2

if I take the card out it boots up fine 

if I put a hd6950 in the system it boots up fine

if I put the 290x into another system that system boots up fine

I have updated the mobo bios to version 1505. no luck 

 

Any other ideas ?

Plug in your 290x and reset cmos while your rig is powered off.
