  1. @Los_Jackal just an FYI, if you do this and the link stops working in the future, it's likely because the IP address for your desktop had expired and DHCP from your router provided a different IP address instead of renewing the old one. One way to combat this is to set the IP for your desktop to a static IP, that way the address for the desktop will always remain the same even if the entire network gets rebooted due to a power outage or whatever. The same can be done to share a local printer, effectively making it a network printer.
  2. Seems like an India only brand, haven't heard of it. Did some browsing on that site and found these for your consideration. COOLER MASTER HYPER 620S ₹3,295.00 https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-components/fans-and-cooling/cooler-master-hyper-620s-cpu-cooler-rr-d6na-17pa-r1 DEEPCOOL AG620 ₹3,880.00 https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-components/fans-and-cooling/deepcool-ag620-cpu-cooler-r-ag620-bknnmn-g-1
  3. What laptop is it? Does the keyboard and display work to get into the BIOS/UEFI Setup? If yes, see if there's any unknown devices in Device Manager, if there are, those may well be what's causing the built-in display and keyboard to not work in Windows. It is possible those two items require their own drivers. For instance, in earlier versions of the Windows 10 and 11 installation media, the touchpad and keyboard for Surface Laptops did not work as the required drivers were not present in the installer (thanks Microsoft).
  4. Add David Suzuki, the other most vocal and famous environmentalist, to the list. Always amazing how no one talks about these people jetting across the world multiple times a year to trash on climate change efforts and shame the people who are trying to make ends meet.
  5. Ok as long as someone else is dailying them. But I've heard of so many people who say they save devices from landfill only to have them sit in a drawer, closet, or be on display.
  6. You see, I don't really understand the mentality with this. So sending devices to be recycled is considered wasteful and not environmentally friendly. Yet hoarding devices that yes still work, but you're not using daily is somehow not wasteful?
  7. You can also look for any non-profits in your area specializing in refurbishing and selling used hardware. Organizations like Free Geek are usually available in major urban centres. Of course, expect the hardware to be a couple generations older like Intel 8th generation old. Still capable, but not bleeding edge.
  8. Everytime there's a news article about Apple on the forums and the first comment is just a snarky remark or mindless outrage.

  9. Is your Ethernet cable going straight to the router or are there maybe one or two switches in between?
  10. Interestingly enough, there doesn't seem to be a requirement for Windows 10 for TPM2.0. That's only for Windows 11 which should be enabled anyways if you've installed it officially. There are ways to force Windows 11 on unsupported hardware. https://playvalorant.com/en-us/specs/
  11. It's likely the wiring in the walls. If it is indeed bog standard CAT5 and not CAT5e or CAT6, then that could be your problem as regular CAT5 tops out at 100mbps. I would be really surprised that for a 5-year-old building, the builder would really cheap out and not use at least CAT5e. You can't get regular CAT5 anymore unless it's really old stock.
  12. In general. I've done AMD to Intel, AMD to AMD, and Intel to AMD. All three were disasters. Haven't tried Intel to Intel nor do I plan to in the future.
