I mean... he's not wrong. The pay from the types of jobs you'll be doing at 14 would literally be peanuts and you'll gain little to no experience in the process. You'll definitely not be getting "a job that pays more than minimum wage" I can guarantee you that.

That's around the age I would suspect most people would be comfortable with. Employers hiring those who are under 16 are always going to be scrutinized for child labor. And even if the laws allow, it's just bad PR.

I think it'll also be a PR nightmare if they were to hire 14 year olds. While the law in Georgia says 14 and older, I feel like most people would still think anyone under 16 working at retail or restaurant chain should be considered child labor.

Well... that certainly wasn't a conscious choice. It was literally a few dudes and one camera working out of his garage at the time.

Pretty sure that's a windows problem, I would recommend reinstalling Windows. I'm guessing it worked fine up until now and problems just now started happening?

This is why I dont not use 1) Comcast equipment. and 2) Use any type of internet gateway(Modem/Router). Its always best to have a modem and separate router as having both in one box can cause issues.

That all being said. It could very well be a defective gateway. I mean they do reuse these gateways as customers upgrade / cancel service. Also Comcast buys millions of these boxes as they can get a bulk discount. Id check to make sure your signal is good and maybe check the logs in the gateway. I dont know how to check the signals and logs on Comcast equipment as they pulled a Microsoft and some settings are set via the Web GUI and others are set via their app. Its fucking stupid if you ask me. OH and the best part is, you're paying like $15/m for this privilege.

That's more of a long term thing... 14 year old all star programmers are still not the norm.

BlueChinchillaEatingDorito got a reaction from InfernalClaw in SSD Return Issues I guess?
As Electronics Wizardy said, clean simply just makes the data inaccessible. All someone needs to do is recover the partition using something like TestDisk which isn't hard and takes a few minutes to do. I've done it before when I accidently deleted the partition of my mass storage HDD when reinstalling Windows. A clean all command zeroes out (think of it as overwriting the entire drive with 0s) the drive making recovery less trivial if not impossible.

More professional data wipe standards such as RCMP TSSIT OPS-II use the same principle, albeit more involved with multiple iterations of 0s, 1s, and random characters.
