Clean desktop. I don't like icons on it.

Those are some good tips, and who cares if it's illegal in your state or if your professor won't allow it. Don't tell anyone, and make the most out of it. I never thought about putting the videos through YouTube for subtitles, haha, amazing. Thanks!

The way leap years work, you just have look at a year and check these two criteria:
- divisible by 4 and NOT by 100? Leap year.
- divisible by 400? Leap year.
Anything else isn't a leap year, so it's all about writing something that checks both these scenarios.
It has always been a debate whether you should start from a place where you know it's true or false.
Personally I have always learned: assume the number will fail (won't be a leapyear) unless proven otherwise (by and if statement).
So by that logic, I would do an if statement to see if a number falls within the requirements and otherwise it will fall into else statement and won't work.
EDIT: I just realized this comparison is way simpler and cleaner:
if(((myYear % 4 == 0) && (myYear % 100 != 0)) || (myYear % 400 == 0)) { console.log("The year is a leap year."); } else { console.log("The year is not a leap year."); } This just checks these two:

My work was sniped my @minibois. Their work seems to cover everything. A few notes, though...
I believe Integer.parseInt is preferred to Integer.valueOf; alternatively, you could use Scanner.nextInt and skip that step entirely.
Also, don't forget to close your Scanner (scan.close()) at the end of your program, as good Java etiquette.

The issue with your code is the else if, which checks if the number is divisble by 100 and 400.
During this check, most numbers will fall there.
What you're checking if a number is BOTH not divisble by 100 and not divisble by 400. Most number are not cleanly divisble by those two, thus it will trigger as 'not a leap year'.
Something like this would work:
if(myYear % 4 == 0) { if(myYear % 400 == 0 || myYear % 100 != 0) { System.out.println("The year is a leap year."); } else { System.out.println("The year is not a leap year."); } } else { System.out.println("The year is not a leap year."); } It isn't the cleanest code, but I felt it was a bit clearer than then neater variant (which I paste below in the spoiler).
It first checks if a number is divisible by 4. This is the first requirement, easy enough.
Then, follow another if with a OR (||) comparison. If either one or both of the comparisons returns true, it's a match.
What it's checking there is:
- is the number cleanly divisible by 400? Then it will be a leap year, no need to even go over the second comparison.
- The second comparison, is the number NOT divisible by 100? With these two checks, I will make sure every "divisible by 100" number will fall away, while all divisible by 4 AND 400 numbers will succeed.
The ugliness in that code would be the two else + System.out.println statements.
By combining the two ifs, you get this cleaner code:
Result of either code:

those are probably inductors
you could re-paste them tho i doubt you need to, still looks fine

Yes I would do so if they had it on there previously, little odd why they didn't use a thermal pad over those inductors but paste will also work.

Crossbourne reacted to MageTank in Windows 10: Don't know what's in a new update? You will now, says Microsoft
I've experienced none of that, and I am quite abusive to my OS. I've also used the sketchiest ISO's with no Defender, Cortana, default start apps, etc when benching. The only time I've ever killed my OS was when running benchmarks with what I knew to be a very unstable memory overclock, and even that was a very rare occurrence.

Crossbourne reacted to wall03 in Windows 10: Don't know what's in a new update? You will now, says Microsoft
Summary
Microsoft has admitted that it has done a poor job of explaining new features to users in its biannual Windows 10 feature updates. So it's now releasing a new iOS-like Tips app to make it easier for users to learn more about the new features in an update.

My thoughts
I would love to see something like this, but this is mainly geared at normal users. This would be a nice feature addition, but it should have happened earlier.

Crossbourne reacted to SeriousDad69 in Apple now accounting for almost half (47%) of phone sales
When you consider what normal people do with their phones, yes they are lol. I bought an iPhone SE 2020 because I needed something solid to take calls, read and look at Facebook with. I also don't feel like worrying about Android's lackluster update situation, when I buy a phone I expect it to be supported for at least five years. It's like pulling teeth trying to get Samsung and Google to support their phones for more than two years, and Apple usually supports iPhones with the latest iOS version for 4-5 years.
Lmao the screen is great, the pixel density is great. Just because it's 720p doesn't mean it's bad. The battery life is fine also, I'm usually at about 50-60% charge remaining at the end of the day. Then again, I don't like watching videos on handheld devices.
Apple's success isn't because they're great, it's because Android is a fragmented cluster fuck of poorly supported devices.

Retina at 11” so unless you’re using your nose to type it’s not

720p at that size could be swapped with 8K and you wouldn’t be able to tell. Or have android manufacturers brainwashed you into “bigger number means better” regardless of context?

Crossbourne reacted to yolosnail in Press F for Fortnite - Apple AND GOOGLE remove Fortnite from the App Store - Epic Sues Apple
Summary
Looks like Apple didn't take too kindly to Epic's addition of direct payment in the iPhone app, circumventing Apple's 30% cut.
Epic has now removed the Fortnite app from the App Store, although it looks like users who currently have the app downloaded can still access it, only new downloads are disabled
Update: Looks like Epic has now filed a civil antitrust lawsuit against Apple for the removal of Fortnite from the App store
Update again, looks like Google has also removed Fortnite from the Google Play Store

Epic's complaint
My thoughts
Apple really had no choice in the matter, as letting Epic get away with it would have proved they let the big guys get away with it while penalising the small guys (like Floatplane)/
My guess is this was a planned attack against Apple, with Epic now having something that they can take to court.
Surprised to see Google follow suit, I thought they'd want to be the 'good guy' in this, but clearly not.

Crossbourne reacted to RedRound2 in Press F for Fortnite - Apple AND GOOGLE remove Fortnite from the App Store - Epic Sues Apple
People here don't seem to understand why Apple takes a cut in the first place.
Apple's logic here is that they don't want every app tp have their own payment processing, and potentially routing their customers to unsecure databases where your credit or debit card details might get saved. This is a very valid point, as we've seen countless data breaches. Hence Apple prefers that the app makes use of the API where Apple will take care of all of this.
Also the app store does support multiple currencies, so even currency and region issue is also taken care by Apple.
So, do they deserve a cut and maybe a slight profit out of this "service". Yes, I think they do
But, 30% is indeed way too much. This should probaby be around 5%, max 10%, as it is indeed hard for me to imagine at this point whether Apple actually even have a significant running cost maintaining their current infrastructure and deals in place. Developers dont seem to actually backing down from this fight, so hopefully the government regulations will restrict Apple from taking a huge chunk of the developers' well deserved revenue

Crossbourne reacted to zeusthemoose in Toshiba has Left the Laptop Market
Summary
Toshiba has sold their remaining shares in their laptop business Dynabook. Dynabook was originally called Toshiba Client Solutions Co., Ltd and brought the very first mass produced laptop computer (the T1100) to market.
In June 2018, Toshiba sold 80.1% of the company to Sharp but kept the remaining 18.9%. They sold because they were having difficulty selling products and needed money after an accounting scandal. However, this past week, Toshiba sold the remaining shares. As far as I can tell, the amount and reasons are still unknown.
Quotes
My thoughts
I have never heard of Dynabook previous to this. Looking at their website though, it seems that the majority of laptops they sell are pretty outdated. Based on that, I cant say I am surprised Toshiba is selling this portion of their business. Am I the only one whose never heard of Dynabook before or are they are small, mostly unknown brand?
