I'm forming a position based on the logical thought that the company releasing those numbers, has a complete and total reason to lie about, or obfuscate those numbers. I'd trust the numbers if they came from an unpaid 3rd party, but considering they are numbers coming from the prime manufacturer and party most likely to suffer from large numbers of bent phones, they are untrustworthy.

By your logic, we should trust the opinion of every single company out there, that their product is better than every product from their competitor.

It's called considering the source, you should learn about that.

The simple fact is Apple is reporting that data and is free to do whatever it wants with the data it receives.
I originally didn't even bother discussing "9 incidences" when this first came about because I thought it was a baseless point and not worth discussing, but here we are and it somehow has leverage.

Is 9 reports of a bent iPhone 6 good or bad? I'd say that's great. Unrealistically great. I'd expect there to be at least 9 bent on the day of release based on the volume pushed and the fact that people use them. 9 cases is isn't even a practical number for a "best case scenario, phone designed by Jesus himself" accounting.

Furthermore, how do you even quantify this? How does Apple determine that a bent iPhone 6 is their fault? What stops the employee under the boss under the boss under the boss under the boss under the boss under the supervisor under the boss under the manager under the supervisor under the boss under the manager under the manager from saying "sorry, your iPhone 6+ broke due to your lack of care with the device and is not our concern, this will go in as misuse, that will be 300$ for a repair unit"

How does someone realize this is Apples fault instead of thinking "darn, I must have not taken care of my phone" instead of "darn, this phone is faulty, I better report that it's bent to Apple, furthermore it's not my fault"

If there were only 9 reports, how did they quantify that in the first place. Did different people have to write down "bent phone" in the comments box in the Apple complaint box in the basement under the stairs? Is there a box that an employee must check to indicate a bent iPhone? If the number was only 9, why was the checkbox even there to begin with if the number is so miniscule and ignorable? Who counted this number? Did some guy send an email asking Apple store managers how many units were report bent? Did a store manager or two accidentally fat finger a number on his compact keyboard's number pad before hitting enter, causing it to read as "03" instead of 0? Did an employee tell another employee about someone reporting a bent phone on their way to the bathroom and the manager overheard it? Did Apple just crawl through social media websites for "bent iphone" and contact them directly and write each one of them down as a case?

Hell, with handling and manufacturing tolerances even 9 if the phone was damn near perfect is barely believable.

Like I said, I'm at a loss for words and I cannot even begin to explain how silly this situation and logic is. The fact that they put out numbers gives me a surge of emotion ranging from bewilderment to frustrated giggles to a point where it could be mistaken for lunacy.

On another note, we should go back to Windows XP because there were only 11 error reports submitted, so I guess nobody else has had any problems through it's entire lifetime and we can write that off as uncorrectable flaw and error.

As a native Chinese, let me tell you what happend in the area of cloud storage in China and the details. This is called "Cloud Storage War in China"

First of all, you should know the top cloud storage companies in China: Baidu, Tencent, Sina, Kingsoft, Qihoo 360, Huawei,115

Before, China’s free storage services are mainly focused on storage capacity under 15GB. But in Aug 13, 2013, Kingsoft Cloud officially announced that the company has received $ 20 million investment.Supported by the financing, Kingsoft Kuaipan, a service under Kingsoft Cloud, offers a 100G free storage service to personal users.

Then Qihoo 360 said that they offer users 360 GB of permanent free space.
Then Baidu said: Pay 1 RMB, and you'll get 1TB permanent space.(6.1 RMB=1 USD)
Then Qihoo 360 said: we'll offer users extra 666 GB of free space (360GB+666GB=1026GB, more than 1TB)
Then Baidu said: we offer users 1TB free, and if pay 1 RMB, you'll get extra 1TB.
Then Tencent said: we offer users 10TB of free and permanent space.
Then Qihoo 360 said: we offer users unlimited space, free and permanent.
Then Baidu change its service to: we directly offer users 2TB for free, no need money, and claimed that it will give back that 1 RMB to users that payed before.

And Sina said: we offer users 100GB of free space, and will offer more latar. It also said: if you share one file to public, you will get the same size of free permanent space.(so called: unlimited)
And Huawe said: if you share one file to public, then you can delete this file, while the file is not actually deleted on server, you can also download it.( so called:unlimited)
And 115.com said: new signing up users can get 15GB, while old users can get extra 100GB, and all the uses can get 1TB every year, increasing to unlimited size.

On topic, can't say I'm shocked. The only people Americans have to blame are themselves for believing the hype of this scam-artist for not one, but two election cycles. GG Should have gave the old guy Ron Paul a try instead of being 3edgy5me "we're not racist, we voted for a black guy!"

Exactly. Which means the disparity between rich and poor is larger, and this is why the Human Development Index exists, to point out how progressed a society is.

HDI quantizes all the big and small things that add up to quality of life for countries' citizens.

FYI, this is the non-equality adjusted, on the equality-adjusted HDI, USA plummets to (I believe) 28th place.

Regardless of where the outlet is positioned it's still school owned and so up to the school as to whether "the public" should be allowed to use it. Considering that it was near some tennis courts and a parking area I'd hazard a guess that it'd be used for lighting, perhaps. Or maybe that's the area where they hold fairs, and so they'll need power for that (and it'd be cheaper than having to rent a generator).

If I leave my laptop on my front doorstep then I'm an idiot, but it's still theft if someone takes it (although not breaking and entering).
