to confirm, it's indeed a straight copy of Focus SGX, just with custom size cables

Actuall, it's probably the SFX-L PSU that comes with the NZXT H1. Not sure about it, though it does have a 10-year warranty. Looks to be single rail.

@LukeSavenije got any dirt on this model? Here's the link

The NZXT NP-S650M = Seasonic SSR-650SGX from what I can tell.

Estimated power draw would be 140W for the 3700X, 320W for the 3080 and 100W for the rest of the system. That's a total of 560W, so technically you can run it though your PSU might get a bit loud.

I'm assuming it's either the NZXT E Series or the C Series, both of which can run at full load without a doubt. I'd say you don't need a new one.

If your PSU model is something other than these two, then perhaps a change would be necessary.

PhaKin_A reacted to minibois in With the 3090 being a 3 slotted card, does that mean Air cooled CPU users will have to use an AIO so their 3090 will fit?
If your CPU cooler made it so a videocard didn't fit in the top slot, that won't change with the RTX 3090.
The RTX 3090 being a triple slot card, I assume it will just have extra height on the bottom, not the the top right?

PhaKin_A reacted to Kibbelhs in Please help. Does NZXT H500/H510 come with preinstalled standoffs? Did I do it properly?
Hey sorry to revive a solved thread.

Built myself a Nzxt H510 Elite, and I've got the same stand-off screw as shown in the picture 2 posts above. The thing is, I've screwed all but 1 of my motherboard stand-offs, as that lone stand-off does not allow me to screw a screw onto it. It's just a stand-off, which is slightly shorter and when the motherboard is placed, sits flush. Am I supposed to replace that or am I fine just leaving it alone. It won't short anything will it? It's located in the middle, middle row, middle stand-off.

    Cheers

That's the center standoff, it's meant to help you align the motherboard with the rest of the standoffs. It's normal for it not to have screw holes, and it will not short your motherboard.

I'm pretty sure they are still compatible with V-MODA's own BoomPro microphone attachment. Also, i don't think those headphones need any extra amplification to be properly driven.

Stay away from ANY gaming brands for anything sound related.

By the way you mention in your next post, it sounds to me that you think $400 of an investment in sound will bring you angels to sing in your ear. To put it lightly, it's not the case. Assuming you do your research, it will definitely bring you a better experience than the Astros though. My advice is to start by spending USD200-300 on amp + dac, and USD200ish on the headphones. After that, if you feel like being adventurous, go big instead of going through small improvements.

Whatever you end up with, I hope you like it, but I'd STRONGLY recommend for you to try sound gear for yourself before getting to any conclusions, no matter what kind of "online" credibility a given person may have when telling you what to buy and what not to. Most haven't even heard what they are recommending. Pay a visit to a nearby audio shop and have fun listening to what they have. It will definitely open your eyes a bit.

foro $400 I would reccomend the dt 990 or dt 880 600 ohm paired with a monoprice liquid spark adn a topping e30 or topping d10. and if you really into virtual suround sound as @Tz000 there is software for that.

Stay away from anything that says "gaming" if your willing to spend 400.00$  Buy yourself a really nice set of stereo headphones, a headphone amp/dac & a mod mic.  If your into all the surround sound stuff there is software that you can download that will do that for you.

Checkout massdrop for great headphone choices and prices.

The best option is to just buy real high-end headphones and use an external mic (modmic, studio or otherwise)

i doubt they will release the 4950x in october, given they've just release the 3950x a few months ago. they'll start the 4000 series with the 4600 and 4700 and probably some of the 4300G models or whatever. I think there's still at least a year to wait until the 4950X

In that case, don't bother buying an X570 motherboard right now.

why would you get the motherboard now to gather dust on a shelf for a cpu that will be out in a year?

It really depends on what is released. If X670 brings some new features, then perhaps it's worth going for. However, MSI could also do something similar to their current MAX line and release X570 boards that are explicitly updated for 4000 series Ryzen. Do you have need for a new processor and motherboard right now?
