I just got my new LG 38GN950-B monitor. It ships with a DP 1.4 cable and it is very short. I noticed at the bottom of the screen it says to use the cable that it shipped with. However, for the sake of cable management I would like to use one that is longer. I did some research and saw that with some longer cables it can cause flickering, pixelation, or cause your screen to go black or permanently damage your GPU or monitor. Don’t want to risk that. Just wanted to get your guy’s thoughts on whether it’s safe to use a VESA certified DP 1.4 aftermarket cable? Thanks

Hello everyone, just wanted to let everyone know that Costco is currently the only supplier in the US that has the LG38GN950-B in stock. Just bought mine and it is coming tomorrow. link is below if you are interested. Cheers. https://www.costco.com/lg-ultragear-38"-class-ultrawide-wqhd-curved-ips-g-sync-compatible-gaming-monitor.product.100671950.html

The pricing would reflect a $2000 price point for the US. Release date is 6/30/2020 https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/pc-monitors/pc-monitors/lg-ultragear-38gn950-b-quad-hd-38-curved-nano-ips-lcd-gaming-monitor-black-10205235-pdt.html

Awesome! Thanks for the information!

Title says it all. My brother had a pair of these and they sounded amazing. Was wondering if they would be great for gaming? Also, any recommendations for a DAC/AMP compatible with this headset would be great! Thanks!

I’m currently torn between the Astro A40’s with Mix amp and the Steelseries Arctis Pro with GameDAC. I have had a pair of Astro A50’s for the better part of 8 years and was impressed with the build quality and sound. Just looking for other options if there is anything better?

I’d be willing to settle for the 4900x

I guess you do have a point there
