I'm getting mine tomorrow as well.  What is your setup, GPU?  I'm gonna marry/mate it to a 295X2.

You're definately NOT the only one excited over this release!

    I just purchased one!

I debated over this or the Rog Swift.

I currently have a 24" 144hz monitor, so the Swift checked alot of boxes for me, and I very likely would have bought it last month if I could have got my hands on one. However, since then I've been hearing about a lot of seemingly fairly common "issues" with the Swift which has raised concerns about that panel for me. Plus, I noticed alot of reviews for this Acer with 4k, G-sync and 1ms GTG. Seems like a good combination as well. Sure I would prefer it to have 120hz+, but it will probably be a year or two before we see those on the market since they require the DP 1.3 spec which was just released.

Mostly I'm just itching to try 4k gaming now, and the G-sync is just what that needed IMO, since GPU's in general are currently struggling with 4k gaming content. Even if we had 120hz+ 4k displays available, very high FPS in 4k is extremely expensive to achieve right now. I'm hoping that G-sync will help make up for that as reviews seem to indicate.

If you want 4K and G-sync, there is only one choice right now. Guess I'll find out if it was a good one soon enough!

The console wars? Pal you can fit 52x the number of chips made for consoles into the number made for PCs, not to mention phones, embedded systems, routers, cars, servers, supercomputers, etc. It's publicity for AMD, but trust me, it wasn't as much money as you think.

You don't need Raptr, the games will be in the forms of keys for the respective services (Origin, Steam, Uplay)

When I bought my GPU off Amazon, Amazon sent me an email with the Never Settle code, and a link to the respective AMD website, you just have to create an AMD account (You don't need Raptr), choose your games, and they give you Steam keys. Then you activate them on Steam and viola, free games!

It's worked for many years with old clamp heatsinks. This Triton looks like the clamp surrounds the block, so it should be much better than these old clamp style heatsinks.

Also keep in mind the NH-D14 uses the same style of mounting hardware (two bolt down points) and that cooler is simply massive (heavy). I have my doubts this little block filled with water will weigh more than the NH-D14.

Tho they could of ran the mounting points at the top and bottom to make it more secure rather than the sides. Tho I am sure you can more than likely mount it sideways (rotate the bracket) if you wish.

I though having more than 1 monitor was also stupid until I bought another monitor. It's obviously not entirely important but you can put stuff there that gives you info about your PC while running games and stuff. Or a film, your music player and so on. The reason why I would have a single 4K display and 2 IPS 1080p displays is simply so you can watch films on the IPS panels and play games on the 4K or you can do it the other way around. It would also be cool to have a higher refresh rate monitor so you can swap and change where and how you want to play your game. Some games might be better on a 4K monitor then a 120/144hz monitor. For example I would play FTL on a 4K and a game like CS:GO on a 144hz display.

Just a general reference for "how much wattage do I need" questions that are filling the forum. Check these and you'll have a general idea of where to start for shopping for a power supply, and questions can be diverted from "how many watts do I need" to a much more specific "what power supply should I get within my budget that will power a system that needs XXX watts"

Briefing on buying a quality power supply:

Shopping for a power supply is not all about wattage. As much as your mind or people might make it seem like so, it's not. It's about multiple factors, however the most important things are the quality of the PSU and the amps on the 12V rail. Not just watts. This is why the question of "how many watts of a PSU do I need" is becoming drowned out nowadays, because it's no longer a large variable

    Info on PSU quality:

Info on PSU 12V rail amps:

    On with the numbers!
Again, These numbers are established assuming you are using a quality power supply. The overclocks are also based on heavy overclocking, including overvolting.

Another way you could get a rough estimate on your own, is take the TDP of the CPU + GPU(s) and add 100W for other components. This should give you a rough estimate of the maximum power draw your PC will require at stock clock speeds.

Use these numbers when shopping for a power supply, but if you're not sure of specifically what model to get, there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking! Create a thread in this section that contains your location (country is fine), preferred store or retailer (if any), and your budget. Our community members will be happy to assist you find a good quality power supply that will be quiet, efficient, and reliable.

Hope this reference guide was of help to you if you're looking to get a new PSU to upgrade or for a build. If there's anything that you feel can be added to this, or if you have any questions then let myself know. This thread is a work in progress and I'll do my best to keep working on it so leave suggestions!   Thanks for looking!

So i ordered my Air 540 last Friday, and it arrived yesterday

I tell ya, Videos and photos don't do this case justice.

It's bigger than what i thought it would, but in a good way

The space inside and behind the mobo tray is massive, so some awesome cable management can be achieved here.

my Z97-A and H100 fit really well inside, and I can wait to finish the build in the near future hopefully

For now, here's some pics I took
