Ahh sorry I’ve miss read that.
But still what I said before is correct ( most parts) if you use liquid metal it’ll definitely drop the temps

They're completely meaningless, those games should run ok on your laptop though.

Sonic Generations is in my top 10 favorite games of all time, so that would be a pretty easy vote for me.
Sonic Racing All Stars Transformed is pretty good too.

But I can't forget about Crazy Taxi! Absolutely awesome game too!

I would throw them on eBay. DDR2 is so obsolete that the price actually went back up a bit because it is so rare. So people who like old hardware are willing to pay a bit of a premium.

Ultra details at 60 fps just isn't available to consoles on the whole yet. The ryzen system will absolutely stomp the ps4, and it's pretty worth getting a b350 motherboard to pick up the slack of the 4 core cpu. However, the ryzen 5 1400 is really the value king, providing higher clocks and more threads. If you're willing to go that much higher, I recommend it, or perhaps just get it later, since it'll be compatible with the motherboard you'd already have for the 1200. The 1060 6gb is a great card that handles high detail gaming quite well, and it pairs wonderfully with just about any consumer cpu.

It all depends on what you are playing.

I would argue in favor of the PS4 Pro, because you are robbing yourself out of premiere single player experiences like God of War and Horizon: Zero Dawn.

At 720p 60 they're both overkill. Build a PC because you can use it for more than gaming though

Well a Ryzen 3 1200 with the GTX 1060 6gb would be able to drive well over 60 fps at 720p and will be over 60 fps at 1080p as well.

Calling John reacted to Otto_iii in does memory % used include vram
ye, part of why its important to go through BIOS when going from full APU to APU + discrete graphics card, sometimes even when iGPU is disabled it will still be munching up 2gb of DRAM doing nothing if you dont configure it in the bios to stop trying to allocate it.  (or atleast so i've heard, can be issue i believe on certain ASRocks)
  14. Agree
Calling John reacted to Bombastinator in does memory % used include vram
iGPUs do it too.  The old ones did it by never showing the vram used to the system, so if you have 16gb of total memory and the iGPU is set to use 2gb the OS shows a total of 14gb of memory.
  15. Agree
Calling John reacted to Otto_iii in does memory % used include vram
To my knowledge only APUs usually ever use DRAM, otherwise when looking in task manager VRAM usage should be defined separately.

use ffmpeg with hevc_vaapi for h265 on amd apu and gpus.
see, https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Hardware/VAAPI for more information and samples

for example, encode input.mp4 to a output.mp4 video file with 10-bit H.265 at 15Mbps VBR

Calling John reacted to roadratt in 12gb ram install only 10gb shows up
    gotcha.

i would try going from what you have on there (1305) to 1401, then 2103 since it states it "improves memory compatibility" and "system stability" (so 1305 ---> 1401 ---> 2103)

the last bios on that page that mentions "improve memory compatibility" is 3207, so if you still run into issues that would be the hail mary for me if you still have the patience after all that lol

Uh, ok I see, but you really should do some research then before anything else,  most games (as in the vast majority) run worse with dx 12, but there are exceptions,  so it might be worth it for that game   idk

In any case you could always just "risk it" and if it goes wrong DDU + re install your old drivers - though make sure you actually have them before doing that!

Curious Expedition 1,799 Very Positive reviews on Steam since Sep' 2016.

You're a historically significant scientist or explorer (such as Charles Darwin or Marie Curie), and go on exciting expeditions. But these adventures are dangerous. Involving things like starvation, killer tigers and volcanic eruptions. To win, you have to finish your expedition before the others do AND bring back as many artifacts and items as you can carry.

Valued at $14.99 on Steam but hits the $6.00 to $8.00 price range around every other month, give or take. Last time it hit $6.00 was in late June to Mid July on Steam. Then from late August to Mid September, it hit $8.24 on Steam and Humble. So you can pretty much expect around $7.50 to $8.50 either in October or the next major Steam sales.

Restaurant Empire II 133 Mixed reviews on Steam in over a decade so insanely overlooked.

In most restaurant games, you put food together, physically serve people and take their cash. This one is a bit deeper. It’s more like a Sims game than anything else. You get to build menus instead of dishes, deal with business matters such as employee training and manage both interior and exterior decoration. It's also like that TV show Hells Kitchen. I'm not gonna spoil it and tell you how, you have to find out for yourself.

Valued at $19.99 on Steam but you certainly don't need to pay that price because it regularly hits $5.00 at least once a month. It used to hit $2.00 to $4.00 but not in well over a year. The devs have been sticking with $5.00 and it's worth that if you like games like The Sims.

If you're into more specific types of games, there's plenty more from where these came from. From high demanding graphics to games that can run on a potato. From a variety of genres. At random prices. Including free.
