Another way to do it is to order online, pick any address that has its closest best buy within 25 miles of microcenter.

Then start customer chat, ask them to price match.  After they price match, change shipping address to your own home.

    My recommendations:

Change your power supply from CX750 to CX750M, $4 price difference for some modular connections.

Your video card choices, assuming GTX 760 with aftermarket cooler, are all pretty much the same price from all manufacturers.

Choose between Gigabyte Windforce, EVGA ACX, Asus Direct CUII, MSI Twin Frozr.  Personally, I think at this point it comes down to preference in aesthetics, and I would go with EVGA ACX.

For aftermarket CPU cooler, it depends on your budget, and whether you want to get high overclocks or silent performance.

Here is a list of CPU coolers that I've have had used/experienced and would recommend (from cheapest to most expensive)

    Hyper 212 (EVO) $30
    Xigmateck Dark Knight $50
    Noctua NHD14 $70

Then you get to AIO coolers
From reviews, I'd say Swiftech H220 and Kraken X60 are your best bets.

    (Charts taken from Guru3D)
    http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_780_sli_review,22.html

From these results, and your maximum budget of $1000, the following cards are within your budget.

    Nvidia: 680, 780, Titan
    AMD: 7970, 7990

So, I'd probably recommend the 7990 on AMD side, and 780 on Nvidia side (Titan is not worth the extra money on top of 780.)

    EDIT:

For battlefield 3, the benchmarks show that the 780, titan, 7990, and 690 all are capable of pushing more than 40 fps at your resolution.

While the 780 has 44 FPS in BF3, the 7990 has 72 FPS.

AMD's 7990 has a large advantage over the Nvidia cards.  On top of that, it would be a good bet that AMD cards will perform better on Battlefield 4 as well, seeing as how all of the consoles are running AMD and such.

..... I just ordered a h100i... I now regret it after this story... Corsair's water coolers are fantastic but customer support really sells me. I just bought my hard drives from Amazon instead of Newegg, while Newegg had it 10 dollars cheaper, because Amazon's return policy and my experience with them is so much better. I ordered a rubics cube a few months ago and I got energy pills. The sent me a full refund and it took a day to appear in my account.

I work customer support. Sometimes I feel like the company does well, other times not. I assume it is the same with all companies. Part of the Razer thing is definitely the loyalty. If someone calls in to where I work if they use us a lot (I can see everything they have ever done with us since 2008.) They get free stuff out the wahzoo. If someone calls in and they don't use us that much they get far less help. Not because we don't appreciate them but because a lot of them are trying to play the system to get free stuff.

Schools don't follow common logic, they have a much more convoluted method to computers.

For example, the university I attended, you would assume that the engineering majors would need better computers, especially the mechanical/civil engineers who need to use 3D software like Solidworks.  However, because the school had a policy of every student pays the same tuition, they ended up with the worst computers.

Why? Engineering professors get paid more otherwise they would just actually work in the industry.  The History major professors get paid a lot less so that department has a lot more money to spend on computers.

Going with the 1 module with 8GB gives you the opportunity to at some point add another 8GB for a total of 16GB.

The difference in performance from 2x4GB and 8GB will only be noticeable in benchmarks.  I highly doubt there will be any difference in the real world.

jaypro got a reaction from M4XvPA1N in If Corsair started making motherboards & graphics cards...
What I think that Corsair is good at is listening to the enthusiasts.

If they were to make or relabel motherboards, the first round of boards will probably fall short in different ways, but you can bet your ass that they will fix those issues.

My expectation is that they will make sure the motherboard will look nice, have nice placement on all of the connectors, and have the best expansion slot layout.

Key examples? USB 3.0 Right Angle Header.  All-Black motherboard PCB, etc.

Also, I bet Corsair would even bother to put the Front Audio header with the rest of the front panel headers, and not like every other motherboard manufacturer who just put it randomly somewhere in the middle.

And you can bet your ass Corsair will make it so that their CLC solutions will fit on even smaller cases, where some motherboards VRM heatsinks are too tall on the top of the motherboard.

This is what Corsair excels at.  They are quick to understand what the consumer wants when the consumer asks for something that is obvious.

Another thing that I think Corsair would be great at would be the UEFI.

Where I think Corsair will fall short?   Where things aren't so black and white.  The actual performance of the motherboard besides the aesthetics.  They won't have the experience of Gigabyte or Asus to make a board that is able to overclock as well or be as reliable.
They will cost more than their equally performing counterparts, because of they attention they pay to physical design.
