I seem to be seeing many people on the forum asking when the steam summer sale is coming and I believe the answer is very soon! A valve employee hinted at a sale coming soon when discussing the new steam trading cards.

 

 

Making trading cards available to all Steam users is a step towards an event we think everyone can be excited about..

 

 

Take a wild guess at what that event is ;)

How long does the sale usually last for? Like, a weekend or longer?

It usually lasts for a week or two, maybe even longer. But everyday there are about 20+ games with cut prices for the how many long it goes on for. Quite some time I hope. I have a list of all the games I never got round to owning, the main one at the top is Fallout 1,2 and Tactics but i will also be getting Dark Souls, Just Cause 2 and Spec Ops the Line. If any other games catch my eye and I really need them than my wallet will have to handle the stress.

Its been at the end of June in 10'/11' and July 12th last year AND it ALWAYS kicks off on a thursday so it will either be next thursday or the 11th :)

Looking forward to getting BL2, Bioshock Infinite and some other titles. Looks like it's time to reevaluate my wish list so I'll be ready for the sale.
