Aside from the clickbaity titles, that they change after like an hour, i think that with things they're good at, their videos are really interesting. Especially the quirky projects, you don't see them really often

There's no saying when you'll need to upgrade, just do it whenever you feel like the performance isn't satisfying anymore for you. The logical step for your next cpu will obviously be like an 8 core cpu to make it last many more years, but there's no say of what products will be out by the time you upgrade

For the price of a 2060 you can get a 5700, which is a better performer. The 2060 isn't a terrible deal though. It really depends on the price point he's leaning towards and the performance he wants to get, and i guess for these kind of games like a 580 or 590 would be great

Note you can change the PSU's to a TX550m. i dont think for a gaming PC you need more than a 16gb but if you do need more then change the ram or mobo.

well yeah it would be better for 1080p too, but the problem is if you can find both the combos at the same prices

If you're planning on going max settings at 1440p maybe the 1660 ti isn't the best suited card, even if the combo is still decent. What's your location? Maybe you can get a 2600 and a 5700 for the same price

dude the 980 comes short of the 1070, even the 980 ti is slightly weaker. The 980 is like a 1060 6gb

you wouldn't go wrong either way. However if you're going to mostly play csgo i'd get the 3600, it's really fast in that game specifically.

The Nitro+ is definitely the nicer out of the bunch, but the pulse is pretty good too. Don't know much about the gigabyte one but the Sapphire ones should be the absolute best (maybe the 5700xt red devil compares? dk)

Using a single 1060 3gb would be better than sli 970's since sli is never used rn and the pascal card supports freesync, however i think that if he's not able to get a single one he should get both anyways and sell the second one

No it's a package deal.  So I can't split it up. I guess I go with the 970 and see which one of better and sell the other. Thank you for the quick reply.
