Do i need a better processor?

SoPCannon

I game at 60Hz at 1080 at the moment

I have a Ryzen 3 2200g

 2 x8GB memory at 2333mhz

 a vega 64

2 120gb ssd

1 1tb ssd

1 tb hd

I am wondering if it is better to wait for the next ryzen chips or would it be better to upgrade my cpu now?

If you're using a Vega 64 with your 2200G, then yes, it'd be worth upgrading, as you'll be bottlenecking your GPU in nearly any game at 1080p.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC

y tho

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Why the hell did you put a 2200g with a vega 64 though lol, and i thought me putting a pentium g5400 with a 1060 3gb some time ago was bad

I'd consider getting a new monitor along with a new cpu lol, the vega 64 is wasted at 1080p 60hz

2200g is a quad core, in general it is better when paired with a higher end gpu.

Depends on what you want to achieve, also budget.

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

What the hell does any of this mean, why would a low end gpu be better when paired with a high end gpu

I'm not saying is good, but compared to a g5400, it's better.

A pentium g5400 is still a low end part, even if lower than the 2200g, and the 1060 3gb is a low mid range part

I got the gpu for £220, I was thinking of upgrading my cpu but took the GPU instead at that price.

I already had the 2200g.

At the moment I am not seeing much of an issue, only a bit stuttering in Destiny 2 occasionally, forza 3 plays fine on high or ultra.
