Upgrade the i7 6700K or not ?

Hello,

I just bought the RTX 2070 Super. Do i have to upgrade my CPU for best performance or is the i7 6700k still enough ?

I play at 1440p 144Hz. BF 5. CoD MW 2019 and Cyberpunk 2077( next year )

I'd be perfectly content with 6th gen i7. I wouldn't upgrade for quite a while.

There's no saying when you'll need to upgrade, just do it whenever you feel like the performance isn't satisfying anymore for you. The logical step for your next cpu will obviously be like an 8 core cpu to make it last many more years, but there's no say of what products will be out by the time you upgrade

in BF5 anyway you could see CPU bottleneck. Just check CPU and GPU usage when running the game.

Yeah BF5 sucks for CPU drain. My 3rd gen i7 barely runs whereas it blows thru other games.
