Why not just get a 5700??? THE ray tracing on the 2060 is junk and you can get 5700s for the same price

With that CPU id just put an rx 570 4 gig in it unless you want to use the new GPU as an upgrade part for later on

Nvidia's encoder is quite a bit better than AMD if Im not mistaken so yeah go nvida if you need to but Id see how much different the 2060 super is price wise in your country. The extra 2 gigs of VRAM just might make a difference for your workload IDK...

Djinnux got a reaction from BTGbullseye in What Graphic card should i buy GTX 1070 or RTX2060
That is putting the super aginst the non xt 5700 which yes it does come in close with but at MSRP its closer to price with the XT which handily beats the 2060 super in just about everything and ray tracing on the 2060 is about useless anyway because the card just doesn't have the power to run it...

I have been considering the same thing... I have a pretty big case without much impeding airflow and I really do dig how the XT reference card looks

Hell I just put one of the i5 9400F systems together with an RTX 2060 and its a perfectly fine rig...  I built it on an MSI 360 itx board with 16 gigs of ram and it can handle most anything you want to do..  Don't waste a lot of extra cash on 9th gen i7 its largely going to be wasted overkill

Djinnux got a reaction from Tristerin in Way no more eficient desing cooling for cards?
This is exactly why I love blower style graphics cards they don't contribute to the heat inside the case and really if you have enough fresh room air for them so that they aren't sucking in hot air they aren't that bad.

    JK blower cards suck

The 2070 is already pointless... marginal gain over the 2060 at a much higher price It is currently the worst price to performance card you can buy

If all you want to do is some video playback just find yourself a Quadro 315... the rest of that system is basically a potato anyway so why spend 100 bucks on it??

But I don't think there is any reason a display port to VGA won't work we have had to use them at the office because some of our new monitors didn't come with VGA and we had that port as onboard output on our computers.

there would be benefits to having all monitors driven by the same video card though... outputting 3d or rendered content to them will use the GPU there instead of on another device

Only problem with a lot of those is that they have those 4 pins around the flat wide pin and a LOT of new hardware doesn't have them.  I have tried cutting those pins or pulling them out and it makes the adapter not work.

Get this instead and use the display port

Well that USB VGA adapter I linked would solve that issue if it is a concern.  It basically has its own graphics adapter built into it and it just installs it via usb

CPU wise the 2200G is probably better than a 6100 I think they mean the IGPU isn't sufficient the CPU part should be fine.

    I am actually building this system as we speak;
    2200G
    Aurous B450M
    16Gigs of 3000 RAM
    ADATA 240 Gig SATA SSD
MSI RX 570 8 gig (Already own)
    Thermaltake no window Case..
and a 550 Watt White Thermaltake PSU

I am guessing there won't be a lot I cant throw at it especially if I win the silicon lottery and get a decent overclock on the Ryzen.  I am putting a 212 Cooler on it since I WILL be overclocking and I know ill do better with a tower cooler than the included wraith stealth
