Wait is this prebuilt actually worth?

Just browsing through Newegg, and saw a 500$ PC That has a 1060 (180$) + R5 1600 (120$) + 480GB SSD (50$) + 8GB DDR4 (40$) + Keybaord/Mouse (20$) + Case + PSU (50$) + Prob a cheap A320/B350 mobo (40$)

for ~500$ of value

in a 500$ prebuilt

I wouldn't want an A320 in a gaming rig, especially not for a 6 core.

 

They have to make a profit, $500 value in a $500 prebuilt meants it's probably not really a $500 value

Well first of all, it was Case and PSU, so maybe 30$ case, 20$ psu.

Not even sure it’s A320, could be b350, both are a couple dollars from each other.

they get to buy in bulk, so ofc they make a profit, and this might be old inventory the want to clear out. For example, OEM 500gb DRAMless SSDs tend to be around 35-40$

If you can build the same thing, for the same price, do it. Chances are, parts will be of higher quality and last longer.

Only thing I would want a 320 for is a 200g Dual Core.... For like a file server or something
