Isnt the Q6600 just such a great little beast of a CPU? I still have one chugging along too ^_^ (its relegated to back up status since I got a newer computer but still. I built it before my son was born, he turns 15 this year, and it still works. Been overclocked to 3Ghz its whole life.)

This is totally possible. I’ve got windows 11 even running on older computers.
    I got it on a core 2 quad q6600 and 4gb of dd2 555mhz

You should check out SK hynix if you haven't already. Great performance, best efficiency, and they're one of the makers of NAND itself, so you can expect good quality and reliability. I have two of their drives and they're great. And the best part is they're typically far cheaper than Samsung and especially WD, who tend to be the most expensive. Until they started releasing SSDs I always went Samsung, and SSDs were the only thing I'd buy from Samsung, but now, like you, I won't even buy them.

(I will say ITIL4 cert was a real pain in the ass for me.) But this list is a good place to start researching.

First I would figure out how many devices, are you getting all the hardware for them (Will you be having to handle warranty claims, etc later?) are you vending the software? if your just placing hardware and running cable, I would say 5 grand. If they are expecting more services after install, then that would go into a service contract, and would have to be negotiated in and of it self. There is a reason I have stopped being what amounts to a general contractor for technology 😉 Its a pain in the ass.

Some people claimed you would need to but I got the cooler from a Z440 (which is a much better designed air cooler than the Z420 for like 20 bucks of ebay) and have had no issues yet. Only issue I get is my graphics card will overheat a bit if I dont use afterburner to run the fan at 100% (its an Nvidia Quadro somthing or other, roughly equivalent to a 1060 so not really meant for gaming)

this is the heatsink just search ebay or amazon for Z440 heat sink.

This would probably fall under a companies legal department, who would probably never run a scenario on this, but probably should. In reality, it would still probably be the cyber team that factors this scenario into their training and typical regiment.

For me it was Mid-late 1990's. Voodoo, Riva etc. 3D was finally taking off and it was a MAJOR step up compared to 2d games. Unreal Tournament, Doom, Quake.

The old adage you gotta pay to play is literal in the video game world. Weather you or I agree with it is a moo point.

most likely in the TOS book lifetime was defined, and not using the dictionary definition. They can define "lifetime" in the context of "lifetime of the original device it is installed on" once that device has been End of Life from its manufacturer your lifetime license is now void. Its all in how its worded in the original agreement.

and this is when I build my second hand monster that will last me 10+ years lol. for reals, the last computer I built with all new parts was a core 2 duo based system. I upgraded it about 4-years ago with a Q6600 off ebay and an SSD. I replaced it with a system my work retired, an i5 3450 I moved the GPU and SSD over to it. My old Q6600 system still runs just fine, only reason I replaced it was because I got the work system for 25$USD I'll gladly snatch up used parts for cheap this christmas 😉
