Has anybody ever had success in fixing a problem with the SFC /scannow or Dism.exe /cleanup-image options? I have both given them out as advice from time to time, as well as performing them myself. But as I am using it today to hopefully fix a weird issue, it made me think of that question. While I have used it personally, I don't recall it EVER making an appreciable difference in whatever issue I may have been trying to solve. It dawned on me that it feels more like a waste of 5 minutes while you research other options you'll invariably have to use.

So I'll ask again, has this ever worked for anyone? I'm genuinely curious.

As an aside, the weird issue in question is that one of my work computers sometimes changes the desktop background from a picture to a solid black color at login. Not everyday day, though. Seems to be totally random.

Maybe you should have done a proper research.

GTA VI is based in Vice City, which is a fictional city based on the real world city of Miami. Looking at the demographics of Miami, it turns out that only 14% of Miami is White.
After looking at the trailer and counting 141 NPCs who's race i could determine easily, discounting anyone ambiguous (and skimming pretty quickly through it), I counted a total of 55 white people and 86 non-white people making the demographics of Vice City to be about 39% white. That's more than double that of Miami. If anything, Vice City is too white. 🙂

for this to have happened, you must have added a root account

option 1) re-install and leave root user account details blank

option 2) log-in to root and add sudo commands

Until you said this, I would easily say Linux Mint.  It's not that you can't game on Linux, it's just that I'm still going to say just don't. Linux is my primary OS and has been for a very long time. I find it easier to use for basically everything. However gaming, I still boot up Windows. I don't want to deal with this game or that game not working, or trying to remember which games do or don't work. Don't get me wrong, Linux gaming is getting much better, and has come a long way, but even as a big Linux fan, I'll admit gaming is the wrong use case (personal opinion). Hopefully that continues to change.

Everything else, sure install Linux and have at.

Depends how nice is her butt?
Oh what Butt jokes are in appropriate now?
"That's what James said!"  aww bro.

The answer is probably no.  Unless the right kind of process is followed.

IF the opportunity to do this posted and advertised as models wanted on sites or "papers" that are in the modeling trade, then also internally to a jobs board.  If an employee is not asked to model this but instead must apply and audition with the ad agency that runs this on LMG's behalf then sure it's fine.  Every step is taken, to an annoying degree, to be certain everyone is 100% consenting to this in every way.

If it is INTERNAL, and there is any hint of peer pressure, then it can be like what used to go on at American Apparel. https://fortune.com/2017/07/12/american-apparel-dov-charney-los-angeles-apparel/
I'm sure no one was having sex with Linus.     I  am sure and hope that nothing like that has gone on at LMG.

American Apparel was famous for all their models being employees in their production process.   It at a minimum invites people to think thoughts, or to infer that thoughts are being thought.  You know.

Now a lawyer like this one can go to town with that kind of information.

From even a cold hard realpolitik perspective ... it is a risk to have employees do that unless a very careful process is followed, and even then it might not be worth it.

Look guys, at some point everyone fucks up pretty badly. It's how you deal with this fuck up that shows what kind of company you have turned into. If i was in Linus's place and i wanted to show that i care about my community, my integrity, brand name and respect, i would've made a video with me only. Not a single other person from the company, but only me. After all it's my (his) name that is on company's brand, so no matter who or what caused this to happed, it's ultimately my (his) mistake. I'd admit about the mistake i've made, own it, don't twist or turn it, but call it as brutal as straight as possible. I'd say that i'm sorry and won't try to make absolutely any excuses. Just will announce my plans on how to deal with the train wreck i've caused and the measures i intend to take to make sure this never happens again. Finally i would've thanked Steve for showing me that i have strayed from the right path and promise to make everything possible to get back on it. Of course for that you need to take a really good look much further back to see the changes for yourself.

Agreed. If it was as easy as filming a 30 second shitpost everyone would be famous on twitter.

I would like to add that for "rinse and repeat" that means you have to constantly come up with ideas. Your idea well can't run dry. If you use up all your good ideas you have to come up with more. It's one thing to do this when it's just for fun whenever a good idea pops into your head. It's another to have a constant deadline where you HAVE to come up with content even if you have writers block. You can't just half ass it either or your performance will drop and you will be replaced.

It's not stated by my nickname, but I'm Italian. I assume that you also are, and i remember the name like yours from Davide Bianchi's blog.
Unfortunately in Italy is not unusual to be... a bit unfair with women. I cannot say if you are, I don't want to make any allegation, but it's quite understandable that you don't believe her. It's fair to have an opinion.

However I'm far more cautions than you. I cannot say the truth degree of what reported, but I don't want to call liar someone until proven.

Also: work too much/too hard/for too little compensation is still vessatory. If as a one man band you can do more than a team, you're really a powerhouse or the team lacks knowledge, competence, drive.  However: how much will cost of you keep that standard?

    What an absolutely tone-deaf response.

You ignore a number of factors, such as the power-dynamics that would be involved in a position like such. I am a bit perplexed how you don't understand what "inappropriately grabbed" means. As you are completely unaware of sexual harrassment that occur in the workplace (perhaps you are and that is actually the issue).
I don't believe that she was "offended" by the fact that senior management wasn't "fire(d)" because she was complaining. She was discussing how the inappropriate management of the facilities/programs was not being addressed.

I'm completely perplexed at how someone could be this level of complete inaccuracy in their reading.

I've been a lurker on this site for years and have thought about joining for a while but haven't till recently and if you are a representative of the community here, I don't really think almost anyone would want to come here.

Also, if you wish you can try that "Oh you just haven't been out in a real workplace" thing - that is fine. I worked for the railroad for several years and have had to deal with being told a bunch of things when the issues weren't my fault. So that won't really land with me, but you are welcome to still make them nonetheless.

Of course she took this moment - this is the first time in LMG's history where not everyone is on LMG's side. It's much safer for her to come out with this now cause she would have been unfairly destroyed if she posted this weeks ago.

Made an account solely to respond to this. Creating engaging short-form content (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.) can actually be FAR more intensive than most people think it is.

    It's not just

Film 30 second shitpost --> Submit --> Profit!

    It's more like

Spend hours planning engaging/worthwhile content --> Throw out ideas that don't work, expand on those that might --> Make filming/editing plan, get external parties/on-screen talent involved --> Film content, sometimes requiring multiple takes and anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours filming depending on the content --> Edit the content, adding in overlays, subtitles, engaging on-screen elements, etc. --> Post content, maximize success potential with title, metadata, thumbnail, etc. --> Check analytics, see what worked and/or what didn't --> Rinse and repeat

It's very easy to trivialize the amount of work that goes into just one short little piece of content most people see once and never think about again.

It does not mean that this should not be investigated, i just think that personal cases without facts are impossible to fix, i kinda liked Madison, the few videos she was in she seemed natural, way more than many put on camera. shame it did not work.

If there is ANY thing that points to what she says is right, then there needs to be a proper investigation... but companies are good at hiding these things, look at that game studio blowup with suicide and shit, how far it got, before they began to actually investigate, and in the end, did anyone really get punished.. yeah they sold it to Microsoft, for a bunch of money, and got rich.

HR´s and Leaders are close, those are never for the employees, that is a learning you do early in life. HOPEFULLY the solution to this can be open dialogue about good working places maybe even on workplace rating sites, so people can make a logical choice, so if places are really bad, then YES they will just not get high competence employees because they can choose between jobs.

Most people hate it because it can't do nearly as much as the Windows they know. Others hate it because it was the first PC operating system to bring us into the dystopian age of cloud computing in which the user is the product that's served to data brokers and advertisers. And some hate it because their only experience with it has been on utterly crap hardware so they feel like the OS is low quality.

if fast boot is turned off then you get a proper system shutdown
if fast boot is turned on you get a fake shutdown, like hybernate or sleep

i prefer a slower boot, so i know all devices are effectively and properly shutdown / released
