Best bet is to just wait until reviews are out, but why not consider a macbook air if she's only doing basic things on it?

Light use and it doesnt matter. Office and browsers have been running quite well on ipads for ages.

I just think its horrible value when Asus Vivobooks with 4500U cost something near 600€.

I doubt they'd really mind, should be just fine for light web tasks which most people do anyway. No reason to let it waste if you can find someone that would want it.

There's so many better options for everything you have in that list.

At this point you shouldn't be looking at internal storage and more server side storage. Then for your main system, youd probably end up looking at more workstation products instead of mainstream.

Realistically you should probably build two systems for those two workloads.
And then server for the storage.

mayonnaiseblackhole got a reaction from kane in Solid base for upgrades for five years OR budget friendly for two years?
A lot of this just seems so unnecessary for a mid-range build. A lot of the things you seemingly added for an upgrade path can easily be upgraded itself and is crazy overkill. Just some examples,
I'm pretty sure for just gaming there's no reason that you'd ever need to upgrade from a 3600 on the same platform for however long AMD still supports AM4. This means you really don't need a higher end motherboard.  Ram you do not need more than 16gb. I'm still running 8gb on a mid range build and even though its like $30 for another kit (1/3 what i paid for lol) I just have never reasonably run out of ram. Also you don't need the "amd optimized" ram running at 3600mhz any 3000 kit will do. You can also upgrade it whenever so don't worry about the future You will in no way notice in any common scenario the difference between your already good amount of ssd the extremely fast ssd you have.  The cooling is up to you if you want to overclock but you could get away with a cheaper fan Sorry if I ended up sounding cross but I just want to get my point across. You should really try to save that money for a nice monitor as that's something you have to completely replace when you want a new one. That goes along with a better gpu when you want.

I just built one for my parent's beach house where past security guards have been using master keys to stay in peoples houses and it is awesome! Thanks so much for the directions! The only problem I have is that every day during a similer time it records probably because of the sunlight getting to the window. Is there any way to fix this?

This is false. On titles like Apex Legends a 2060 Super is fine for 144 fps, OP's problem is CPU and RAM (other than the 960).
You are also putting the 1060 and 2060 on the same boat, which they definitely are not.

I've seen many folks say that the amount of performance you gain from an AIO is minimal so I'd go with the 3700X.

It's easier and cheaper to get it now and then an AIO later than it is to have to upgrade the CPU later.

I'd say it depends on what you really like. I'd argue that it's not worth upgrading after only one year since the Xr already has great hardware.

When it comes to questions between iOS devices and Android devices, most of the decision falls on personal preference. That's not really a decision someone else can make for you. I know I've personally flip-flopped. In the past 5 years I've had a HTC One M8, Google Nexus 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone XS Max (current). I'm still not sure if I'm going to stay with iOS, though that looks more likely than not.

mayonnaiseblackhole reacted to Princess Luna in RTX 2080TI and 1440p at 144Hz
If you wanted 1440p at 144hz on triple A games then forget about it as you've already started off with the wrong foot by choosing the Ryzen 7 2700X, see how far it can bottleneck a RTX 2080 Ti in comparison to Coffee Lake:

Because MAXING out the graphical settings on games at a high resolution of 1440p while expecting 144fps on every game is completely ludicrous to begin with, watch this video for better understanding how pointless these so called Ultra settings are on the great scheme of things:
In shorts if you're not fine tuning your in-game settings and just wants to MAX out everything then you're doing something wrong, the 2080 Ti is a beast that allows a hell lot of headroom but there's no miracles around extremely demanding settings that offers imperceptible improvements most of the time.
