an rx 570 could be good in this case. I got a ryzen 3 2200g paired with an rx 480 (as fast as an rx 580, just some slower clocks.) and it runs great! U can easily find one of those on the used market for around 100$ and its really worth it, and if lucky maybe a rx 580.

Agree with @DankDeuxezon the 480, and the 570. You could get either one of those. Or, another good one would be a 1650 if you can find it at a decent price, because it's faster than a 1050ti,  but still cheaper than the 1050ti's I see online.

Agreed with the above. I went with an RX570 alongside my Ryzen 5 2600, and so far it's pretty good

Ran the odd benchmark, and a couple of games, all of which run as good as I could have hoped

Even with a lesser CPU in the 1300x, the 570 still should be pretty good.

Even at a decent price I wouldn't recommend buying a 1650. They're usually about the same price as RX570 and they perform worse.

That aside, I'd recommend looking for a used 480/570. You can find a 570 for about $75-100 used (depends on which model of card you buy), 480 is usually around $100.

Alright XR. So have we come to a consensus to get a 480/570?

MSI Armor are the least sought after  model for the RX cards as the cooler is apprantly pretty bad.  I haven't used one first hand to really comment further

I will actually upgrade from my 2200g to either a 1600 or 2600 when the new ryzen 3rd gen is released. are hoping the prices will go down much on the previous ryzens. Rn i can find a 1600/2600 for bout 130-150$ on sale. So when the prices hopefully fall and all the stores want the old stuff out and in with the new, i might actually be able to find one for 100$. but ill have to hope.

Wouldn't you be better off with the new ryzen 3400g? It's around 150 I think.

I'd say go with the newer 2600 if prices fall within your range.

Amazon UK currently have the 2600 for £20 more than the 1600 (£104 vs £124). At that small a difference why not go for the newer CPU?

Ex mining RX 470 / RX 480 card is as cheap as you can get. Or if you're not into bios flash thingamajig, GTX 970, 980 and 1070 ex mining is good too.

I buy some of those for cheap, ridiculous cheap. It's always recommend if you meet the seller directly.

I mean there arent a big diffrence between them in games other than the 1600 gets around 60% usage in some games while the 2600 gets around 20-40% at the same game and same settings.

EDIT: yes if i do find a 2600 at the same price level as a 1600 then imma buy it.

I like to go newer where possible, that's if for such a little difference in price there is any kind of gains.

Sure a 1600 would be fine regardless so upto the OP.

That said, and getting back on topic slightly, I like my 570 as it seems to perform well in anything I do on it.

I could have spent more on a 580, but for me I get enough performance, and saved money, which I'll end up investing in more RAM if needed, or put it towards a newer case.

I don't know how well the 470/480s perform but if they are even cheaper, and still decent, then maybe grab one of those.

The rx 470 and 570 performce the same as the 570 and 580. The only diffrence i know of is the clock speeds. The rx 580 got a core clock at around 50-100mhz more than the rx 480. I dont know how it is with the rx 470 tho. Tho if you buy a rx 480 you could always flash the bios to a 580 to get that 50-100mhz higher core clock. So i can basically get a 480 and download bios for a 580 and flash it to get a 580 performing card. Ive done that but that also makes the card use more power, and the card i got has a cooler that can barely cool the 480, so that extra power might make it hotter.

If you're looking for a SUPER budget option, the R7 260X can be had for around $40.

It's an older card for low/med 1080p. It rivals the GTX 750Ti.

It's nowhere near the 570/580 performance, but it's far better than Vega 8 or 11 and much cheaper than modern options.
