Yep, I'd also lean towards the Tuf. I think the improved contrast and viewing angles provided by a VA panel outweigh the very minimal difference in refresh rate OC or ghosting.

Thing is the Macbooks are not limited to a <5W package, I would assume they would bump it up to 15W+ which is why I'm intrigued by the clocks and I wonder how far they'll push it because the A13 is already way ahead of Intel or AMD in terms of IPC considering the Single-Core performance is identical to the 9900K (Stock) even when the A13 is at ~2.6Ghz, and the benchmark you just linked has the fastest Single-Core performance from a Stock CPU to date, though it has very poor Multi-Core scaling I'm assuming because of the lower powered cores, who knows if they might increase the number of high performance cores in the Macbook since there's more headroom and that should still provide a substantial advantage with battery life over Intel, it's kinda worrying how that will disrupt the X86 market even though what Apple has done has little to do with ARM but rather showing the potential of it

I'm not opposed to change, but the transitional period from X86 for the general public would be painful, if it does ever happen in this decade

Those are all standard and expected features, it could easily be written by anyone, I was hoping for CPU clocks or some benchmarks

If companies saw him the same way you do, they would not send him samples and would not sponsor videos. LMG would crumble as it stands. Clearly they're doing something right. Perhaps you're jealous?

The problem here is you're judging him based on how you see them work together on camera.
You need to keep in mind that the way they act on camera vs off camera is not the same.

As for how he treats the stuff they're reviewing, it's been a running joke that Linus drops a lot of the things he touches. It has become a part of the act.

Not only that... linus very rarely if ever writes his own videos. Pay attention to the credits people 😛

i was literally gonna post the same question..these 2 monitors..we'll call them the QG and the VQ..the VQ is a VA panel while the QG is a TN..VA has better contrast and better viewing angles..but TN has a higher refresh rate and lower response time..0.5ms compared to the VA's 1ms, and also the QG has almost no ghosting at all(motion blur)...so in the end i guess you should buy the ummm..well crap i still dont know which one to buy lol, but i think I'm leaning more towards the the Tuf.

This is like asking should you get a 2 seater sports car to haul things around town with. A mobile OS is atrocious platform to get serious work done with if you depend on commercial software.

desktops will typically give more performance per dollar.  Adding in a keyboard mouse and monitor does make it tough, most people have that stuff to start.  I would consider a desktop though

Personally at this price range I would just get a used laptop where you swap out the SSD or just building a R3 2200G system with a cheap monitor.

They use aida64, possibly in part as it gives a visual indicator that can be more easily seen. I use aida64 which also logs various flags in a table not graphical format. On intel systems there's also Intel XTU.

Deepin is a good choice if you want a really nice looking distro, but I haven't used it for software development. I use it only occasionally on an old laptop for web browsing.

Howardtruth reacted to Lurick in Rate your ISP!
    I know why that's happening
It has to do with their stupid implementation of DHCP. It's on a 5 minute refresh timer and most hardware won't always respond fast enough to the refresh request.

Howardtruth got a reaction from bellabichon in Best between these two monitors?
The things that I typically look for in a monitor are:
    - Resolution

    - Refresh rate(how many times a second the monitor displays an image, measured in hertz)

    - Panel type(TN panels have bad viewing angles but can have very high refresh rates, IPS panels have great color accuracy and large viewing angles but can’t have as high of a refresh rate, and VA panels are in the middle of TN and IPS. They have better colors and viewing angles than TN, can have fairly high refresh rates, and have a higher contrast ratio than TN and IPS.)

    - Color depth(How many colors a monitor can technically display, commonly measured in bits. Higher color depth means smoother gradients. 8 bit is good while 10 bit is great.)

    - Brightness(Measured in cd/m². The higher the number the brighter the screen can go. 250-300 is common.)

    - sRGB/Adobe RGB coverage(99+% is typical sRGB coverage. There was a really helpful As Fast As Possible covering this.)

    Notes:
    - Contrast ratios posted on spec sheets are almost always faked or cheated. You’re better off just not worrying about them or finding a reliable source for this information.

    - HDR can be nice but it’s currently quite buggy with windows.

    - Every monitor is different and you can never judge monitors completely on it’s specs. It’s very beneficial to go to a store and compare the monitors yourself.
