So , I have now got my board x570 taichi and one of the above coolers and there are two main problems

I've fit the cooler , it fits on the chipset just fine .  However it then means that the 1st and  second pcie slots are unusable with a long gpu (gtx1080ti with water lock) .   The bottom slot is available , and may then be a option for some people . I however trying doing this in a inwin 303 and the bottom slot in that case is unavailable for any card as it's so close to the floor .   I have ordered a bracket to turn the card vertical.  This should allow for me to fit my card and  cool both .

The second problem is the metal cover that also acts as a nvme cooler .  This obviously does not fit any longer . There seams to be two options here . Either cut a section out of the metal cover which would work but destroy any resale value , so I will leave it off and use a aftermarket nvme passive cooler.

Iam still a fair ways off having it up and running but think I can see a way to the end , hopefully

Nice , thank for the advice on the SSD heatsink.

Yeah I tried it with the chipset fan , to be honest is wasn't too bad .  If I had to leave it then it wouldn't of been the end of the world . And it's still an option to just leave it if the vertical gpu doesn't solve all my problems .

Set voltage of the memmory to 1,35v. Set 3200mhz and then timings. Either 16-18-18-36 or 16-18-18-38

Colb reacted to DezGalbie in "AMD needs to stop launching their products on weekends" - LS
There's a lot of things being said about points which I am not making in the slightest.

I'm not saying that this driver issue is only LMG's problem. I'm not saying that AMD and LMG do not have some kind of partnership (although if I was to describe it I probably wouldn't do it that way). I'm also not dismissing Linus's complaint. He's right to complain. I would too.

I am only disagreeing with one very specific point. The point where it was said that AMD are forcing LMG staff to work this weekend. That is clearly untrue. That's a decision for LMG management to make. They were put in a tough spot where they had to decide between coming in over the weekend to redo videos and gaining the income/exposure/all the other stuff that comes with being at the forefront of a big tech launch and giving the staff the weekend off, waiting until Monday to redo their videos, and a gaining a little bump in staff morale. That's a choice. It's a choice made by LMG, not AMD.

    47.  Started with one.of those black and white multi game consoles with pong , some sort.of.racing game where you could move left or right to avoid the 2d cars .

Moved onto BBC micro b . Think it was either 16 or 32 bit .  Played revs , Chucky egg , elite then eventually moved to pc although my 1st pc was more word processor than gaming pc.  Only consoles I have tried are PS1 and PS3 . Have had pcs pretty much constant .

Rarely play games now . But do dabble . I enjoy ghost recon Wildlands . Did like GTA but it just became toxic online . Mainly tinker now . And use it for digitazing and use it as htpc

Indeed .you have a CPU so your not desperate . Wait and see what zen 2 offers . If nothing else it will drop the Ryzen 2700 prices down a significant amount . And should drop the Intel prices some also

To be fair . MSI, Gigabyte are not very good either and neither one of them can write a bios file to save there lives . They are embarrassing . Also power colors site and support in general is just a total joke .

Not sure what it is with these tech companies but you would expect much better from them .   I actually find AMD H.P and Nvidia to be pretty decent but most others are garbage
