The NZXT is fine, strictly speaking. So if they want to do that, I would go for the NZXT.

I mean, with the Newegg you will generally get a better PSU already. And you save $50, which is roughly the difference in cost between 10400F and 11400F.

Where are you going to get a GPU from right now?

Newegg prebuilts are pretty good if you have someone who is relatively good at troubleshooting tech, perhaps such as yourself.
Most of the time they work fine, just for the occasional moment when they don't.

The only changes I'd make here is a new CPU cooler.

Any concrete suggestions then? I have not really bought any new hardware in the past year or two due the market. This build is not for me but a new person getting into building/owning their own rig. I can give them a decent 650w bronze psu for superflower I have laying around I figured.

I recognize that you can build your own pc with better components the issue is trying to find a 3060 ti  or better somewhere at a decent price right now and I have no idea where to look without paying way more than its worth.
Edit: Also the sabrent is a QLC drive better off paying 10 usd more for a tlc like the p5 imo.

ENIAC is their other name, used by their "custom speced" units. But they are the same factory, same people, same QC line.

I'd get the Newegg system then. Just check for any damage or bad quality parts. Worst comes to worst it would still probably be cheaper to replace them.

The Newegg build is probably fine. The PSU can be a question but I believe they usually use at least decent PSUs there, usually FOCUS 650 or RM650, etc.

If you have someone on hand for tech support, it will be fine, and I'd recommend buying Newegg.

This one is even better than the Newegg system at $1,509, if you don't really want to use RTX/DLSS.

Nah, 1050ti is slightly slower than the 1650 GDDR6. Honestly you wouldnt find better prices on GPUs, the market is so cleaned up that any slightly better deals will be gobbled up quickly

I would go with 12th gen intel. Get the latest platform and fastest for now. You can get the 12700k for the same price of 5800x. Here is an example build:

    PCPartPicker Part List
CPU: Intel Core i7-12700K 3.6 GHz 12-Core Processor  ($499.98 @ Best Buy Canada)

    Motherboard: MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard  ($279.99 @ Amazon Canada)
    Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory  ($134.99 @ Memory Express)
Storage: ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive  ($149.99 @ Amazon Canada)

I would say spend money on a good quality psu. Consider even getting 1000W so you can easily upgrade gpu in the future. You don't want to grab a cheap one that will blow up all your nice components. You can check the PSU tier list. Make sure to grab something in A tier.

Also included a gen 4 drive that's on a good deal right now.

With that motherboard, you will need BIOS version F61 or later for support for the 5600G. The board does not appear to support Q-flash which you would use to update the BIOS without a compatible CPU installed, so you will need a compatible CPU in order to update the BIOS.

No, it's crap and I don't trust it. Advertised as single rail 12v while the label says dual rail 12v. And 550w is terribly low for a 700w PSU.

What CPU and GPU do you want to power with it?

Here's a brand name one if you have a really high end system you don't want to risk at all.

They are fine. I have concerns with that particular one though, the photos don't look ideal.

For one, bandwidth refers to data transfer, not power usually. Also, they lit up because there was a manufacturing defect causing a short, not because people were sucking too much power.
A lot of the CPU power comes out of the EPS connectors instead of the 24 pin FYI as well

LienusLateTips reacted to trag1c in How is my setup for a Minecraft Server?
I can tell you from experience that the experience isn't great. I have a pair of E5645 (6 core models) with 96GB of RAM and a 5 disk RAID 6 array and due to the minecraft server being completely single threaded it can be a struggle once people start doing mob farms or are spread out across the world. These older server processors can be great for game servers that exploit concurrency but minecraft isnt one of them.

I am referencing Java version and basically bone stock in regards to mods. No idea if Bedrock has a better server model or not.

My first impression is to say that it is over kill, but you haven't given me enough information.

    1. Are you making this server for you and your friends? Or are you planning on hosting this server for a whole bunch of people?

    2. Are you doing to be running Java or Bedrock? Modded or vanilla? All those things change the requirements.

Upgrade your GPU, but only if you can get something like a 3060/6600 or better. Otherwise, I'd just save up a bit more.

Your CPU is pretty decent for gaming IMO, I'd recommend upgrading your GPU before your CPU most definitely to have a bigger impact in boosting your in game FPS :). (if you can only afford to upgrade one right now)

Your video card is obviously no slouch either, but there have been huge improvements in performance since your Generation of GPU, to the current Generation that is available. If you look at benchmarks comparing your 970 to something current and equivalent, you'll see a remarkable increase in performance.

But your not. Covid has mutated multiple times. There has been no prove immunity to it. Further more I have read about people getting covid multiple times.

So if a person with Covid needs a ventilator they shouldn't have one? Thats generally why they are in the hospital to begin with. We are talking the US, do you know how much it costs to go to a hospital? Most people are not going until they are on their death beds quite literally.

Ive had 3. Guess what? No side effects. I also get other vaccines like the Flu shot. I got my Hepatitis shot Ive gotten my tetanus shot. All because someone with a Medical Degree suggested I get them. Because I choose to take advice from people who are experts in the field of medicine instead of some dumb politician.

First, SLI is dead, so unless you do actual work on your computer that can leverage multiple GPUs, there is no point in running two.

Second, in the like 2 games that still support SLI, you aren't super likely to run into a CPU bottleneck, but you're likely to run into other GPU issues, like really bad minimum FPS.

Finally, SLI is dead. Just wanted to make sure you got that.
