My First PC build is going bad :/

Hello 馃槅聽So I built my first PC but im not sure what I did wrong o-o When I turn on the power supply my motherboard just flashes. And then when I try to turn on my PC my CPU fan and RAM rgb seem to work but my motherboard RGB doesn't do anything and doesn't聽display anything. Also when the pc is on the DRAM light error light is on but it sometimes switch to the CPU聽light聽or a split second. I've tried switching the ram around and other methods聽I've read but nothing seems to work 馃槥聽Is it possible the my MOBO is dead o-o Ahhhhhhhhhhhh

- Ryzen 5600G

-Gigabyte Arous B450 Pro wifi

-Crucial ballistix max

- *no gpu* o-o

With that motherboard, you will need BIOS version F61 or later for support for the 5600G. The board does not appear to support Q-flash which you would use to update the BIOS without a compatible CPU installed, so you will need a compatible CPU in order to update the BIOS.

Can that be the reason why there is no display and the RGB聽isn't working 馃槥聽and also tysm for your help 馃槅

Yes.

You have some options:

  1. Borrow a CPU from someone to use for updating your BIOS.
  2. Bring the motherboard to a local PC shop and see if they can help you update it.
  3. Return the motherboard and buy one that has a BIOS update feature like Q-flash (Gigabyte) or BIOS Flashback (Asus) etc.
