Cyberspirit reacted to Cereal5 in Is it safe to unplug PSU with all components installed?
As long as the PSU is switched off before unplugging anything, yes. Remember, if your PSU is modular, to not mix cables. Only use cables from that specific PSU.

Cyberspirit got a reaction from Totalschaden1997 in Cooling? Why you gotta be this way
To me, it looks like the poor thing can barely get any air because of that shroud under it.
If you are willing to go the extra mile then, get the MOBO out and test it in the open to see if the temps are better.

Cyberspirit reacted to Daveeede in Cooling? Why you gotta be this way
Not normal for an Asus Strix card. I think it might be starved for air in that tight mini-itx case.

Are temps better with the side panel off?

Also, check the fan curve used by the card. There was a glitch at one point on some cards preventing the fans from spinning up.

According to Tom's Hardware the next gen of Ryzen Mobile APU's have been leaked by Twitter user TUM_APISAK depicting both naming schemes and Geekbench 4 results for 3 of the chips.

    The list goes as follows

    Interestingly Tom's Hardware noted
     And
From this we can assume that we might get something like a Celeron Equivalent APU.

    Personal Opinion:
Its interesting that HP is already sampling chips like the 3500U, 3300U and the 3200U. My guess is that we might see these chips in early 2019. Though from the benchmarks im betting more on it being based on 12nm instead of 7nm. Looking at the 3500U specifically I see a small boost to what my personal 2500U can do. Though Im questioning why AMD bothers with the 3300U if we never saw 2300U really be used. Not to mention theres no mention of what Vega were looking at. So personally take all of this with a grain of salt

Same card with same billing address (NOT the office, but my personal address) was used for all systems. Can't have an employee putting $10,000 CAD on their card. Not really appropriate.

We have no reason to think that anyone put 2+2 together for these purchases.

As was pointed out earlier in this thread, Yvonne Ho (not Sebastian) is not an obvious link to LTT for the VAST majority of people. The folks on this forum are an exception.

Also, only the billing department and customer care saw this. Pre-sales did not.

Another thing, there was no obvious tone shift in Maingear, for example once they realized who they were talking to. If we'd noticed we were getting special treatment we'd have called back to get another rep for sure (as it is we dealt with the first rep we talked to for everyone)

PS if Maingear was in on it, don't you think they'd have shipped us a more powerful system? Lol...

If you take a look at their Linusmediagroup, you'd see that Yvonne is in fact the Chief Financial officer. Which would make sense if she ordered them, Janice is the bookkeeper. Where you even bothered to make any research or not?

They've totally already filmed the next part though and if I remember correctly, I believe they said on WANshow, that the next part would be available on Floatplane right when this second part hits Youtube. (Similar to the release of Scrapyard Wars, 1 week early on Floatplane)

Yes, power delivery and thermals are dynamic (within reasonable bounds of course) so the clocks change a ton.

Don't think there is a demo but from just user experience of the game I can tell you that it functions just fine day 1 and I haven't found any game breaking glitches yet.  I don't have an online subscription to test that but everything seems in order.  Presentation as always has that Nintendo polish and the game is truly amazing.  I will forwarn you they do only start you off with the original 8 N64 characters and you have to unlock the rest though it is very easy as the encounters happen very regularly with no real special conditions as far as I can tell you pretty much just play the adventure mode, smash, and classic and encounters will happen afterwards.  They even have a menu option where you can rematch them directly if you lose after a couple of minutes.  Packed with content and 4 DLC packs with new fighters to come:

all comes down to the engine and what dev's are comfortable with implementing, dx12 is similar enough to dx11, but vulkan is on its own.

fallout 76 and there other games have been using the same engine that worked decades ago and haven't done much improvement to it graphically and it show's

TheVerge reports that Google will be shutting down Google+ 4 months early after it suffered yet another data breach/leak.

The latest data breach/leak could affect as many as 52.5 Million users and their personal data.

The fact that Google+ is still operating may be a shock to some but I think internally some of Google's tools rely on it too much for it to be killed off right now. And frankly this latest data breach just goes to show that nothing really is 100% secure and that independent code audits/reviews should be a more common practice in the industry.

    My Thoughts:
If you haven't already sell your fax machine stocks! This will likely be the first of many nails in the coffin for a technology that should have long been dead. That being said the NHS was notably affected by Wannacry compared to the larger US healthcare system and as such they may need to re-evaluate their cyber security policies before phasing these devices out completely.
