I would love to get a pair of th900 or thx00 at some point. They seem really nice.

These are great all-in-one setup, but a bit bass-lite and can't upgrade the amp/dac.
    Headphones
    -fostex th900 (2 years)
Haven't use these in a while after getting the speakers since I don't really need the isolation any more. Still great, but hard to recommend when there's thx00.

Haven't use these in a long time as I just don't find it very comfortable compare to headphones/speakers and I rarely need the portability, but it still manages to surprise me of how good it is when I do use them.

yeah the ODAC, maybe some schiit DAC and amp in the futue. My headphones line up is hopefully going to expand soon. Maybe with some OPPO PM3 or some SE425, I need some better closed headphones than my m50 for lan parties and on the go. Yes I own a pair of m50, I am not proud of it, but they got me into this "higher end" audio 4 years ago.
I want the Emit m10 or 20, because of their sound signature, they have a very clean and detailed sound. Good thing my current speakers go for the same used as I got them for new.

I don't know if I would describe myself as an audiophile. Sure, I love good audio, but my main concern has always been the music.

But then again, I'm currently listing to Swans on vinyl, so maybe I should just embrace the title of pretentious audiophile.

Its kinda ridiculous how "locker room talk" is more important then her FBI investigation.
Her emails released on wikileaks again, speaking upon her deal with Syria, and how she's funding ISIS.
and now she't trying to cover her tracks up and say "It got hacked" thats BS.

As has been mentioned, we can't help someone with "hackintosh".  Of course, if someone were to do it in PM, we might not know, but if it gets reported, the CoC would apply.  And, as always, we urge all users to report all inappropriate activity, including PMs

Pro tools, logic, mainly pro tools haven't done much work since 8 was new, which funnily enough was about when I left the industry. Spent most of my time on avids venue systems by the time I changed industry, oh and fuck line array and delay stacks.

Ableton has been my go to for years now, not for any particular reason except that it works very well for my workflow. I also use a Launchpad for Session View and occasionally as a midi controller for recording so that integrates very well.

Multiple drive racks, riggers, trucking in generators, roadies breaking shit, stupid oz OHS getting in the way of finishing things. explaining god dam delay timings to so called professional'. Lighting techs running power along audio, over heating equipment, roadies fucking shit up did i mention this? oh and the multiple times I've been belted by 240volts.

Sometimes what you love turns into work, and you get sick of it. Also I got older and got sick of working all night, bumping out till 4 am for the next gig, and I also probably didn't mention the tinnitus yea that's a bitch too.

Broadcast and foley was fun, but work took me somewhere else in the end.

I think it was the amp that broke and pumped 120 volt through em. Oh well, it ends up fine because I got it free

Event Opals. I bought them on a friend's recommendation and now I don't know how I mixed music without them.  Passive speakers
ELAC B6 Debuts in my living room and Wharfedale Diamond 225s in my home office. Both pairs offer great sound for the money, so that's why I bought them. The ELAC B6s are powered by a vintage Harmon Kardon Citation V and the Wharfedales are powered by a Marantz PM6006. Headphones/earphones
My two primary pairs are Sennheiser HD600s and Shure SE846s. Bot are powered by a Schiit Magni 2 Uber amp and Schiit Modi 2 Uber DAC. Both of them sound reasonably neutral, but the Shure's have a small boost in the lower range that I really enjoy. I also use a pair of Audio-Technica MSR7s for when I'm on the go.

1200W is way overkill. I think that's what linus used to run 7Gamers 1 CPU or something, so a build like yours wouldn't need nearly as much power.
You want macOS support, but I'm not sure if they've implemented GTX 10xx support yet (not really sure; if you have sources trust them about this instead of me)

I don't see why you would want 2 musking SSDs; it would be better if you just got one higher capacity one.

Also, at this pricepoint, may I recommend a WD black drive instead of blue? Not that anything is wrong with blue whatsoever (still miles ahead of some seagate drives), it's just that black Drives are engineered for performance & content creation, which you intend on doing.

Honestly, at this price point are a bit harder to critque because so many parts can be put in there "just because" and it won't really matter because it'll fit in the budget. (tl;dr higher budget = more opinionated)

Anyways, hope you have a good build! Godspeed!

All should work fine, no issues. As for the PSU, 1200W is way, way overkill. Only 500W is needed for a 1070, 750w if buying two to SLI.
