Macs are positive for being Virus free and fast performance, but you can get a much better PC for the price of a mac...So the school can save some money as well

A NON-REFERENCE 290. It will kill both of the others. We are expecting them to be about $450 when they come out.

Onidi reacted to ericlee30 in What cards can be crossfired w/ r9 290?
The 290X and the 290 are the only GPU's that can be crossfired with a 290. They are the only GPU's that have the Hawaii chip. The 7850 with not crossfire with them as it is not in the same GPU chip family.

Ahem, where did you get that from? Source please.
HDDs age, but load has little effect on an HDD's life span (source: Google study (pdf)).
It's a very interesting read btw. I highly recommend it.

More power consumption, higher temp, frame instability, and as for noise just like a jet taking off

Well it is almost 95 Degrees at all time and it is really loud the 780 ti performs better is quiter and runs cooler but Nvidia surround isnt as good as eyefinity so I would go with 780 ti if you want cool and quite and the 290x if you want better 3 monitor gaming

Well AMD said that the cards are designed to run at 95 degrees but higher temps can cause instability and lower lifetime for the components but you can always control the temps and set a maximum you are comfortable with (80 degrees is what I recommend as maximum) but when you set a maximum there the card will run slower I still insist in getting a 780 ti it is just quiter, cooler, better performing
