Skyrim ALT+TAB annoyance

Picked up Skyrim from the steam sale and it's working nicely until i want to alt+tab out of fullscreen.

 

Alt+tab once, i get out normally. Alt+tab to go back, the sound starts playing normally, but desktop is still showing.

I did find a consistent way to get back. When i alt+tab to go back and the sound is playing, i alt+tab twice to go back to desktop, and then back to the game.

For some reason this always works.

 

Any solution other than windowed mode?

Like they said the Double Cursor Mod could fix it. It works wonders.

Unfortunately it didn't help.

What's weird is that after alt+tabbing out, skyrim is in the first slot of the menu. Second time pressing alt+tab it goes to the 3rd slot. I'm not sure about the pattern but it's just weird.

I guess i can survive with this for now :)

I fix mine by going into a mouse menu. If you leave the game with alt tab and then re-enter it will not create the double cursor if in a mouse menu. It has not worked everytime but it works ok. Hope this helps  it has helped me when i play.

my bad i thought it was from some of the other posts above. Sorry i have no clue. it does that 1 to 3 thing but i never had a problem with it.
