Difference between 4760k & 4770k?

Currently the only difference I see is 4770k is 0.1Ghz faster & about $60 more.

i7 has hyperthreading

Is everyone misreading the post? This is the first i've heard of the 4760k but it sounds like they are both i7's to me. To answer the OP's question, if the specs are the same whereever you are seeing it, then they are most likely exactly as you said. therefore the best value is to get the 4760k and overclock it.

The i7 has hyperthreading and a bigger L3 cache (I am surprised no one has mentioned that).

Ah, so you mean 4670k then :P

 

I thought it was wierd that intel would release a cpu with a lower clock speed. a 4780k with a 100mhz increase would proably be more common (as per the 2600k/2700k)

i7 has hyperthreading and 8mb of cache compared to the i5s 6mb and no hyperthreading.
