Need a new Graphics Card

Okay, I need a new sub-$100 USD card for my computer with more power than my current card, preferably with a blower-stlye cooler like a reference card has. NewEgg, TigerDirect, and NCIX are preferred.

 

The school is being iffy right now with the internet (blips in and out), so it might take a while to respond.

It will be a fan that helps exhaust air out of my case, since it has horrible airflow with no working fans. My TX3 is doing most of the airflow work.

If I could find a GTX 660Ti on eBay or Amazon, would that be a good buy? And would my power supply be good enough?

You are going to bottleneck the hell out of that card with that cpu. Better just save your dimes and nickles and buy everything at once.

7770 goes sometimes for like 80$

7750 goes sometimes for like 55$

 

then buy 1 or 2 cheap case fans. with cheap i mean sub 10$ each. arctic cooling or something.

The fact its very small and has no heatsync. You will be putting more load on it with the extra cores and voltage. Dont forget about that. Just because you wont oc doesnt guarantee safety.

If it's rated for it, might as well do it. And it's a better deal than the Athlon I was looking at.

I was planning on getting an Athlon II X3 450.

i have a phenom x4 955 and i am worried that it will bottleneck or not if i get a 760 and that processor surely will

 

 

so the best thing is wait make money and make a full upgrade

I was never a fan of budget hardware, I mean really cheap stuff.

 

I'd rather try to buy a used hardware around your area, where you could check the quality if the hardware. There are enough people out there that buy new hardware and not really checking how much worth their old stuff is.

Trust me, I would love to do a new build. But my grandma owns this, and now I have to use it as well. Might as well make the most of it until I can save up from my soon-to-be-job-I-hope. I'd make $15 USD an hour, and can work up to 10 hours a week (because I'm 15).

If you don't have airflow in your case get some fans! Get the Cougar 4 pack from NCIX for 20CAD for decent fans!
