Hey guys i need some help to choose a video card. What will be the best from these 3 for gaming? R9 290 vs R9 280x vs gtx 770? 

I have this pc:

FX-8350

ASRock 990FX EXTREME3

Kingston 8GB

OCZ PSU ATX2.2 80+ 750W ZT

A NON-REFERENCE 290. It will kill both of the others. We are expecting them to be about $450 when they come out.

As far as nvidia vs AMD it comes down to what features you want. If you want Shadowplay+G-Sync buy Nvidia and if you want Mantle buy AMD.

 

However the 290 will give you the best value out of those but the Nvidia features definitely justify the card if you want them.

 

Also on a side note if you ever think you want to get into bitcoin mining you must buy AMD.

+1 for a non-reference R9 290 or a reference R9 290 if you're going to hydro cool it.
