I would really appreciate it if the media didn't cover Derek Smart's opinion- he doesn't represent a majority of PC users who wish the complete opposite, and if his opinion carries weightage, I am afraid to think of the long term implications of the result of devs taking his opinion seriously.

This petition is stupid; I'm a feminist, but I did get a few giggles out of the videos, and I wouldn't mind more.

Also, it's worth noting that the women in those videos did it consentually; they weren't forced into doing it. Also, put it in their perspective- if MSI were to stop making these ads, it would be really bad for them since they may be out of a job. In addition, if you're going to call this objectification, don't why don't you bycott trade shows as well, such as CES, and Computex, since there as well, there are, according to your opinion, an objectification of females in the product booth; stop watching all the coverage on YouTube associated with those events as well.

Personally, I believe the person whose doing this is just seeking attention and looking to create an unnecessary frenzy; if you don't support MSIs advertising, it's simple- don't buy their products, but don't dictate what a company can and cannot do; you're invoking on the freedom of expression and artistic creativity and design by doing so by limiting what the artist, in this case the ad director, can or cannot do.

It seems as though you started this topic solely to bad name NewEgg and to twist their hand into giving you a refund, despite it going against their policy. You knew that this wouldn't speak well on the forum and would tarnish their reputation, and based on how people jump on news bandwagons such as thread titles alone, you acted accordingly such that to save face/ prevent assumptions, NewEgg would have to give you a refund; despite the opinion of other members including myself believing that you, not NewEgg is in the wrong.

While you did get what you wanted, I am rather dismayed at the outcome...

I'm with some of the other members- this is whining, and I'm rather surprised you managed to get store credit for it.

Coil whine is a matter of chance, and is mostly caused due to a power delivery issue in the GPU due to the way it interacts with a certain PSU. Most of the times, a RMA or a new piece would fix that, and that is the traditional way most companies handle it.

Before even trying a replacement, you wanted your money back, despite the product being non-refundable.

I'm sorry but I don't support you in this case.

yeah, well, most don't. Some do. That's just what happens with power delivery systems from time to time. There's nothing you can really do to stop or prevent it, as a lot of times it is purely circumstantial. You can disagree with me all you want. The retailer is not going to accept a graphics card that does nothing out of order except making a noise, and I've never heard of a warranty that lists coil whine as grounds for an RMA.

I can't be the only person who thinks this is just whining. So you knew the the card has issues with coil whine, you knew it is a non refundable item yet you still bought it and still wanted a refund when you got it. I don't see how newegg is at fault when they even bent the rules enough to get you store credit for whatever you could want.

Excuse me? I've had coil whine on my own graphics card before, and that's an Asus DCU II. Tons of different cards have had it in the past and it's not a discriminate effect. It's just something that happens sometimes when your card is under load. The only thing it does is annoy people. And if you think what I said about it not being considered RMA-able or refundable by manufacturers is a load of crap, then watch this video.

Know your stuff before you just go ahead and write something off as bullshit. What you define as defective is completely irrelevant unless it fits into the retailer/manufacturer's definition as well. That's how you get an RMA in any case to begin with. Be grateful that they offered you store credit.

Coil whine is not considered worthy of an refund or RMA in the vast majority of cases with most retailers, as far as I know. It's a mechanical side-effect of a VRM sucking power, it doesn't actually affect the performance of the card. If it were DOA, it would be a different story, you could probably refund it with no problem. But coil whine is not considered a fault. It's noise.

NOTE : Please don't complain about something as irrelevant as my grammar.

I've been watching Linus Tech Tips for a many years, and have been around on the forum since 2013. I don't plan on ever leaving, but Iwant to express a recent experience with the channel.

If you watched the latest WAN show you'd know that Linus and Luke were discussing a new case from Fractal Design; the Define S. Since I do not watch Vessel, I didn't know what they'd released a video unboxing of it. Apparently, many followers gave them a lot of flak for doing a unboxing that many admittedly didn't find to be very professional. Linus' argument against a full review was that the case didn't deserve one. They stated that the case was simply too uninteresting and boring.

I disagree with that. I find the case very interesting, not just because I happen to like it very much, but because I think it's important to the industry. Jay did a 20 minute review that was filled but nothing but new things to say about the case. The many things that were different from the R5. The fact that it has a big panel where you can mount reservoirs on and that it has a dedicated spot for mounting a pump is amazing! This isn't the first time the industry has seen something like this but the fact that Fractal are offering a relatively cheap case that can do this is very cool and other companies should follow suite.

I thought that LTT had a good relationship with Fractal Design. Both I and @Suffokation agreed that If we were the heads of Fractal, we would've been very disappointed by such a poor quality video of a case that frankly deserves more. I am honestly disappointed at Linus. He could've made a very short 3-minute review showing the differences between the Define S. and Define R5, that I'm sure would benefit both the manufacturer, the consumer and them selves more.

So Linus, you're telling me that reviewing baby monitors and fucking lamps is of more importance than properly review a case that offers never-before-seen features on a case that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? You did do a video, but you dropped the frikkin side panel!!! There is no excuse of showing that. Don't tell me it wasn't your fault, it shouldn't have been in the video. Show some damn respect to the engineers of the case that spent many hours on it. The point is that the video was careless.

Yup, my heads a bit on the thicker side   (not fat ) But, I've never had this problem occuring with cheaper glasses. It's a problem with the restrictiveness of the Onyx, which for some reason became worse over time (and after about a year and a half, I actually had it fall apart )

Neither- I prefer my local retailers like Flipkart or Amazon since they are often only a little more expensive than G2A and give me a boxed copy of the game.

G2A sells geographically cheaper keys, which to me is horrible ethically, since it's a reason why region locking has become so much more prominent. Also, from being from India, if games started costing 60$ as they do in the US, I wouldn't be keen on buying them since quite frankly, that's half of what most people earn here, and hence I feel that the price differences geographically are justified and dislike G2A due to moral reasons.
