For the S2716DG, you have to enable GSync through the NVIDIA Control Panel if I remember right

It has the OPTION of using g-sync. If you don't use it, it ofcourse will work with AMD cards. But you pay for an (expencive?) feature you aren't going to use, so maybe look for something with freesync?

I have the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX as well. I have a 1080Ti FTW3 Hybrid, and a NZXT Kraken X52 (240mm). I installed my X52 to the front of my case and have the radiator from my FTW3 Hybrid in the back, exhausting. Performance is great, I don’t see anything on the GPU higher than 50-55C. So yeah, I would recommend putting the GPU radiator in the back if you are going that route.

I have been using the S27 for almost a week now and I'm very satisfied. I have my ASUS VG248QE in Portrait mode and the S27 in landscape mode. So far I'm happy with the current setup, although I agree with you that getting an ultra wide screen would be a better choice and I was looking into it but the problem that I needed G-Sync and that would have costed me a lot of money.
I got he S24 for $349.99 and then I snatched S27 for $299.99, so I hope I got a good deal all in all

I’m no expert, but I don’t think there are any 1060s or 480/580s that can run below 65c (full load) on air. I mean, maybe if you undervolt it and run the fans at full blast, maybe, but I really don’t see a point in selling the 480 you have now for something else.

    Hey guys,

So for the past 3 months, I've been keeping a close eye on kits of 32GB RAM (from 3200Mhz to 3733Mhz) for one of my PC projects. My requirements for the RAM were (and still are):

    1) Must be Corsair Dominator Platinums (I don't really have an explanation for this but they just have to be Dom Plats  )
    2) Must be 32GB (4x8GB) and 3200MHz or above (because I'm all about that high life ya know?  )

I had originally planned to get the 32GB 3200MHz (4x8GB) kit in August for $369.99. However, for some odd reason I didn't buy it, and I totally regret that decision. Quickly, that kit jumped to $389.99, so I decided to try and wait for it to come back down. Of course, it didn't though. Instead, it went up to $409.99, $439.99, and now, an insane $479.99. Right around the time the 3200MHz kit went to $439.99, I began looking at other (higher) speed options. A 3600MHz 32GB (4x8GB) was going for $449.99 on NewEgg, but right when I was about to purchase it, it went out of stock (just my luck, right?). Anyways, here are the current PCPartPicker links for the 3200MHz kit, 3333MHz kit, 3600MHz kit, and 3733MHz kit respectively:

Looking at the part price history for each of these memory kits makes me depressed  (lol).

So, I've got the money to spend and am not really in any sort of budget (perks of being single amirite or amirite?), but I don't feel that spending $450 plus on RAM is necessarily worth it. "Then get some other memory, Dom Plats are way too overpriced anyways" you say, "or get some lower spec RAM" you say. And while I've considered these options, I am a very stubborn human being, and when I've got my eyes on something it WILL be MINE (hehe). I know this limits the ways you can help me, but I don't know if I should go ahead and buy the cheapest of all the options, 3600MHz kit, or wait longer (than I already have been) for the prices of the RAM to go down. The RAM has been the one thing preventing me from building my PC (I literally have all of my other parts ready to go in my basement), and I've really been wanting to build my new PC before Thanksgiving, though if I have to, I can wait until Christmas. Any advice?

The PSU is really sketchy. Not due to the wattage, but the quality. Don't cheap out on the PSU.
Don't get the 7700K. Depending on what your use case is, get the 1700, 8600K or 8700/K.
The 840 Evo is really old. Is the 850 Evo or MX300 available?
Don't get a 120mm AiO. Either get a decent air cooler, or a 280mm AiO.

If you have the money and really care about noise/thermals, the Hybrid cards are amazing. I have a FTW3 Hybrid myself, and it’s an amazing card. If you’re not too worried about noise/thermals, the FTW3 and SC2 cards are, as someone mentioned above, a much better value.

It’s true that EVGA’s cooling is worse compared to others, but really isn’t that significant, maybe some FPS here and there, but nothing to ruin your gaming experience. The reason why I still recommend it is because of their amazing support. Sure, you might not never need to use it, but it’s great to know you’ve got it when you need it. I was once installing an EKWB on a GTX 1080 FTW, and later found out I must have messed up somewhere and the card died. EVGA TO THE RESCUE! I put back the original cooler the best I could and then they replaced it with a brand new shiny FTW. That’s why I stick with EVGA for GPUs.

They are / or have released a new card (evga) with both sexy RGB and water cooling for 850, for just water cooling or strix it's 800 and for the other cards it's about 750. I guess I should care about the noise, I do have a crossfire setup with 3k rpm fans x6 (3 per gpu) and it's like a damn jet engine. And I find my self worrying about my system temps a lot. Thanks for the input

I would coin it as just perfect. But if you want a constant 144 FPS on 1440P capped on the latest AAA titltes maxed out, I'm afraid none of the current gen can do it yet. Maybe Volta but that's going to be a while.

The Tempered glass that cracked wasn't sharp at all. It was like a sanded down piece of wood. I could slide my finger through it and no cuts. Besides the tiny pieces of glass the separates from the cracked glass.

So in my case, my case is liquid cooled and both radiators are pointing outwards meaning most of not all of the hot air is being pushed outside. So assuming the inside was not hot,

in this case. So I don't think the inside of the case could have been hot at all. Warn perhaps but not hot. But I don't know since it shattered before I could even get a feel for it.

And there are more fans pushing outwards than there are inwards since Radiators prevent a lot of airflow.

Could negative air pressure be a cause of this? It could be balanced or negative but not positive due to my above statement.
If there weren't enough air inside the case vs air going out?

I sent a message to Be Quiet's Contact Us link the day after I posted this from your suggestions and I have yet to receive a reply back even though their page says typically within 24 hours.
