Depends on the components of the SoC, the implementation, and the manufacturing process. The lowest power consuming chips tend to he the 8 core Cortex A53 designs, while high end chips tend to be quite hungry. If you need lots of battery, you may want to consider the Moto Z Play.

I worked in maintenance at a truck stop and everyone would assume i knew stuff I didnt, so i delt with that daily, they would be like why is the DEF not working on the fuel pump and even my boss would have me look, id go out there and be like i have no idea why. i didn't even know what to look of when my boss would say go look and see whats wrong with it.  just be honest and dont try to fake stuff. the worst thing is misinforming people.

Your ISO wont expire, but your eligibility to get win10 upgrade for free will expire. As long as you have actually installed and activated win10 on your machine by then youll be fine. Once it has been activated, you can wipe it, and re-install win 10 on that machine whenever you want as the activation will be registered to your specific computer.

Let me put this into perspective-

For $650, you can build a PC that will max out every single game at 1080p, and will sail through general-purpose tasks. If you're not a hardcore gamer who wants the cutting-edge experience or a content creator who needs the horsepower to churn out, say, videos- you really don't have to spend that much. I can almost max out The Witcher 3 at 1080p (no Hairworks) and keep a solid 30-40 FPS with my GTX 960 and Core i3 4160, which are considerably cheap.

What I can't understand is why you're against buying an SSD. They're cheap these days, and while they don't improve gaming performance, they improve almost everything else, making your entire system faster and more responsive than a conventional hard drive. For your case, I'd recommend investing in faster storage and a better monitor for your movies, rather than high-performance CPUs and GPUs.

huh, thats surprising. i think our distro stopped bringing in am3+ cpus years ago, only 1-3 stores in sls sells them now(fm2+). anyways, for gaming at minimum settings, 860k/x4 845 with a gtx 750ti will do just fine, but try to go alittle higher with a gtx 960/r9 280(x)/r9 380, it isn't fun at all to play at minimum setting imo.

You don't need to spend that much on a PC if that's all you're going to do.

Also, perhaps you could tell us your maximum budget instead so we could recommend something more optimized-

for your tasks, even an x4 845 would be enough. but assuming your country's situation is the same as singapore, amd cpus are probably completely dead there. an intel i3/i5 should be enough, no need for such overkill.

I would upgrade to an SSD more RAM, and reinstall your OS. I did this and here is why, Right now a SSD is a good PC/ Laptop investment period, it will make everything faster on your computer. You can also use your current HDD as an external drive and have more storage. Also If you upgrade later the SSD can go with you. RAM is pretty cheap and easy to upgrade. A fresh install makes a huge difference. Get an anti-virus program also!

Unfortunately no, they don't. TechPowerUp has a good database for their graphics card specs, but I haven't checked how much information they have about AMD CPUs.

i wish, i deeply wish they did, it'd make it SO much easier for me to go trough amd cpu specs.
 
i feel the reason why they dont is both money, and because -honestly- all their FX 8-cores are the same silicon, all their 6-cores, and so on.
 
intel has put in place such a complex binning/market segmentation setup that its almost a necessity.
 
did you know the 4790k has features the 4770k doesnt? i didnt know either until someone pointed me to it.
