  1. Ram can be tricky. Speed of the the ram is not necessary going to make a big difference versus capacity. Mismatched RAM can somethings not work together. The RAM speed will only match the lowest speed RAM in the system. However if you just need more RAM capacity. I would not worry about OC'n it. Just pug another stick in. It depends on what you are using it for, but for gaming and streaming speed really is minor.
  2. What games are the best to pick up while on sale? I I'm looking for new ideas. Always thanks.
  3. My Bitdefender AV just expired. It's Cyber Monday. Everything is way cheaper. Should I buy an Antivirus program. If so what?
  4. My power supply is 9 yr old (7 years of use) Cooler master 750w. I have contacted Cooler Master, ASUS my motherboard, and EVGA my videocard. They have all said there is "fail safes in place" Do I need to worry?
  5. yep I have disconnect every component except for RAM, CPU, no luck
  6. 5 year computer, I cleared it by removing the battery for 30sec+. What is the shelf life on the battery? It seems like they last a very long time.
  7. I am trying to help a friend fix his computer. He believed is mech HD died. I booted it and I can't get to the BIOS. When I boot it only shows a "HP" logo and will not continue to any kinda of boot state. I have tried, del, f11, f2, f12, and every combo. I just cant get to BIOS. I re-seated RAM. I have remove and reinstalled the battery.I have tested another power supply. I have the windows boot CD in the optical drive. However every time I boot it goes to a "HP" screen shot and will not continue and there is no option for BIOS. Any help would be greatly welcome. Thanks
  8. yeah I always consider the monitor as a investment. It can last you multiple gens of upgrades.
  9. Yeah I'm starting to learn that way but for pure gaming the IPC is slightly less
  10. I was looking to help my buddy build his first gaming PC. The budget is 2k. He needs everything except mouse, headset, and OS. Looking at running 1440p high refresh rate. Ascetics are not important. What is the best bang for the buck? NEEDS monitor and keyboard also!
  11. would there be a CPU I could upgrade to in the 1150 socket set?
