RGProductions got a reaction from Commodus in What does your desktop/phone look like?
As boring as it gets. Just how I like my computers.

RGProductions reacted to Moonzy in First build, need some opinions
make sure it comes with a compatible bios for ryzen 5000
would get lower CL ram if the price isnt much higher, to fully utilise that 5900x
maybe also consider 2x16GB kit, so u can have 2 more slot for future expansion if needed
other parts looks nice

RGProductions reacted to Eaglerino in Youtube making ads non-optional, will not pay non-partners
The wording sounds like they're telling everyone that they can run ads, not that they will. It seems unlikely to me they'll suddenly slap ads on every video that the creator can't monetize, or isn't monetized by a claim or some garbage like that, but YouTube is a business so I don't think I'll exactly blame them if they do

RGProductions got a reaction from sub68 in Youtube removing community caption feature by september.
This is unfortunate. I have hearing damage and it isn't even that bad, but I still can't imagine not having captions, a lot of which are community captions. This might be the end of me using youtube as an entertainment platform, it will seriously suck.

RGProductions reacted to SolarNova in Canadian universities using invasive spyware "Proctortrack" to monitor students during exams. Includes: facial recognition, room scans, knuckle scans
So all a student needs to have is a desktop PC and not buy a Mic or Webcam.
Oh and use a separate laptop for 'cheating'.
Have to have a webcam ? Oops i bought a poor quality one and my internet connection is bad (vaseline on the lens)
Why are u looking away ? Im not, i have an ultra wide display
I mean come on , if a student wants to cheat ,, being able to do an exam from home is the best thing to happen to them lol.

RGProductions got a reaction from WereCat in Worlds First 360Hz Monitor Detailed & Launching in September 2020
As a not gamer
That last part about tickrates isn't strictly always true, as some things are handled client side and render every frame, and there are other advantages than just more information, such as reduced motion blur. This i just coming from my CSGO experience though, so it could be game dependent. IMO 95% of this stuff is feel, if it feels better you're going to game better.

RGProductions reacted to Commodus in Apple quietly ditches AMD
We do care about performance, we just aren't willing to sacrifice an interface and ecosystem we prefer just to say we score higher in a benchmark. To abuse car analogies: if you go shopping for a car based purely on 0-60 times, you're A) missing out on so much more and B) probably not very fun.

Worth noting that US listed prices usually do not include taxes, whereas UK prices do

RGProductions reacted to For Science! in AMD not supporting Zen3 on older motherboards :(
As I am running a 3950X on an X370 board, I feel I got plenty of value out of it compared to my Z270 board. So overall, I am satisfied with how AMD has done it so far.
Given that the original promise was that "AM4 will be supported until 2020" I wouldn't be surprised if Zen3 was on a different platform all together. And even then they would have still kept to their original word

RGProductions got a reaction from BlueChinchillaEatingDorito in Dear LTT, please stop hating Apple
I didn't read the thread so please forgive me if I am saying something that has already been said. These are my own personal thoughts and experiences and nothing more. I personally own and use on a consistent basis many apple and many non-apple devices. In my opinion, though legitimately flawed in design and needing to be changed, aside from the butterfly keyboard, most of the reliability issues with macbooks are seen as so serious because they are in the spotlight. Everyone is focusing on these devices, and their flaws have been made more public. The picture gets painted that the macbook is unreliable, whereas windows laptops are reliable, and in my experience, I have experienced similar flaws on both machines. No machine is without flaws, and apple's just seem to get published much more. MBA cooling is a horrible design that should be changed but for most people it isn't a large worry. Prices are high, but the products are also premium products that warrant a high price for their build (to this day I have never found a laptop that feels as good as a MBP). This is mostly a rant at this point, but can't we all just let people continue to use what works best for them without judging them for it?

RGProductions reacted to Darkseth in WHATS THE BEST 15IN MACBOOK PRO
Macbook Pro 16" is the best 15" Macbook Pro
But since it's out of budget, get yourself a good 2015 model. The butterfly models from 2016 and 2017 are Garbage, and not much faster (because still only 4 Cores, if i'm right).
2018 got a 6-8 Core possibility, but they are still so expensive, that it's way more worth saving up for the 16" model.
Since the 16" exists, i would not buy any 2016 to 2019 15,4" Macbook pro, because they do not have a working Keyboard.

RGProductions got a reaction from TechyBen in Linus said on WAN show that 30fps is preferred over 60fps among LTT viewers. Is that true?
Personally I like the 60fps upload as it allows for 60fps b roll which looks really nice, but for scenarios where the camera isn’t moving and it doesn’t look choppy I prefer 30fps video.

RGProductions got a reaction from bomerr in What is the deal with used CPU prices?
As a general rule, the most powerful option of each platform will demand a large premium on the used market. Step down a tier or 2 and see
