Your welcome, its nice cause it has a great design but there arent too many extra colors so it fits most builds great.

Except the tiny ps4 sounds like a jet, it's 10db louder than the xbox one under full load. I prefer the external drive as I can take it on the go. Plus not limited to a small 2.5" drive that is a PITA to change. You are also limited to a single hard drive.

So while your opinion may be valid to you, others may not agree.

something you can install kodi on, its on every device in my house and works brilliantly. you add folders on your pc as a source on the device with kodi installed and it literally requires zero setup on the pc. i believe you can install kodi on the shield, we have an android box in one bedroom with it on and it works brilliantly.

Maybe try a hard restart: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console

This tends to fix 99% of problems with any Xbox One.

It's 99,99999% a PS4 hardware revision that makes the device able to play UHD Blu-Rays and Streams, it's very very very very very unlikely that this thing plays games at 3840x2160 unless they're upscaled from 1080p.
Maybe even with a built in box for PSVR.
A PS4 that gets native 4K games (other than a PacMan/Tetris Remaster), unless people want to pay $1500+ for a console with an incredibly huge, hot and power hungry APU, won't happen.

Many will make fun of my summer ride, but I've had it since I was 18 and have personally removed and installed every bolt, including building the motor as well as painted it.
Pic of my weekend warrior too, my daily is a beater pick up

I'm betting that this new console is what is actually needed to properly use the PSVR headset that they are also planning. Pretty lame to create another segment in a segmented market.

Considering most console players think console graphics are already better then PC 4k graphics, I would suggest not doing this...

Plug one in by your router and attach an Ethernet cable. Plug one in by the xbox, and plug the Ethernet cable in there as well. It's as easy as it looks. They also have encrypt options where you have to hit an extra button.

Wifi isn't usually the best way to stream media at even 1080p, 4k will be even more challenging.
I highly recommend hard wired if possible. If not, make sure youtake advantage of the wireless AC.
Personally I would just simply plug the HDD into the PC you are trying to play the file on over plugging it into the router.

My main focus for an HTPC would be quite. I'd also make sure your graphics card supports HDMI 2.0 if you are looking to display 4k video

I'm a console gamer, and I've run into similar situations with the Playstation in the past. I bought a 2nd PS3 mostly for use as a Blu-ray player, media streamer and Netflix player at the time. Took me over a day before I could use it because of a system update that needed to be downloaded. GT5 took me over 4 hours to do a required update the first time I played it. Xbox in general has provided me with a better online experience and very fast download speeds, but you did pay for it when Sony was free. So I would hope you were getting something for you completely unjustified Live subscription

Activate your ps4 as primary. That is why you cant play your games offline.
